"Stayed there because my wife had an operation. When we arrived we had a room with double beds instead of queens, asked to upgrade my room, not free but willing to pay the extra was told i could not. Staff said they would bring a comfortable chair for my wife… never did. When talking with manager at check out apparently the clerk was new and didn’t know i could upgrade. Well too late now, horrible stay as wife was in pain. 3 hours drives home would have been better. No compensation nothing offered appart from a sorry"

"We had the coziest time at the chalet. The place is clean and welcoming. We had the opportunity to enjoy lots of hot tub time as well as an outdoor fire. We enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend checking it out. :) "

"Comfy beds. Wi-Fi was great. If you’re using Google maps load your destination into your phone before leaving the property… the cell signal is too weak when driving away from the property for the next 20 km or so, for Maps to work well. As a result, it’s easy to take a wrong turn and miss your tee time. "

"My family and I loved our stay at this cottage. The lake is so peaceful and beautiful, with tonnes of wildlife to enjoy, and great for stand up paddle boarding (my favourite activity was looking for turtles in the shallows while riding one of the paddleboards).  The cottage has comfortable bedrooms, a cozy living room, and a wonderful, well stocked kitchen. There are great views of the lake from the dining room, deck and yard. Val des Bois has lots of amenities, including two great ice cream places that my kids loved. We'd definitely come back. Thanks for the great vacation!"
