Ask at checkin for somewhere to have dinner.. one he suggested was the Crown Hotel .. it was a pleasant 10 minutes walk with a spectacular sunset on the water..and the food was fantastic… our accommodation was 10/10.. an old motel but modern refurbishment .. very spacious and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again…

The manager on the weekend was a grumpy chap. I offered to explain to him my issues but he wouldn’t listen and kept checking the room. I naturally thought I would have a double bed even though I was on my own. The room was to be on the ground floor but it was still about 4 steps up to my room. Not suitable for anyone who can’t walk up them easily. The toilet seat was broken. Also the folder about the accommodation was so hard to find. It was in a black folder on a shelf beside the bed. Because I couldn’t find I couldn’t get the tv to work but the manager showed me there’s an extra TV switch beside the bed. But I was leaving so the information was not useful to me. The room had apparently been recently renovated but the toilet is facing a wall which is only a few inches in front of the knees when sitting. If anyones got knee or back pain or if they are over weight the set up is definitely not suitable. I said to him the toilet should be turned around and his remark was that, it won't be happening. The cleaning lady was so lovely. I’d spilled my cup of tea on the bed but she changed it with a smile. We chatted and she said the market across the road was worth a visit. She was lovely.
