Small Hotel on Royal Road, Grand Bay, Mauritius. Friendly people, clean, efficient, easy access for Wi-Fi and Breakfast was included for that fantastic price. Excellent kitchen for Lunch or Dinner. Walking distance to the Beach and other Facilities like Bars, Restaurants and Shopping area. I can really recommend this Hotel.

Perhaps the worst hotel I stayed in Mauritius. The lady at reception had no idea that I had booked the room via expedia. They were absolutely unaware of that. After nearly 45 minutes of wait ( though a decent " Welcome" drink was offered) I was given a room, which had view of sea from balcony
The whole set up of hotel is from late 1980's. Never upgraded. A/C was working with lots of noise. TV was working with some local and international channels, hot water and cold water facilities
So apart of the " basic " comforts there is really nothing in this hotel to say good about. Breakfast was so so. But chef really prepared a very very tasty omelette, that the reason I gave 2 * for this hotel
So if you dont have any other option and you want to stay some where just for a night this is a decent hotel. Else find some thing else for yourself
We booked hotel le blues in grand baie, mauritius on a last minute whim for a new years eve as it was top suggestion for the hotel-flight package we opted for on expedia.we then tried to contact hotel several times but no one bothered to pick up. We wanted to Ask them for pick up from the airport. We called expedia to complain, most times they claimed they did not have a second telephone number or website for this hotel, each time putting us on hold for ages. They did provide us a an email address but we never got a reply to our mails. After repeatedly calling the initial hotel number day and night some weird voices answered and spoke in mumbled tones when we told them to confirm airport pick up, or if our room had a sea view, we had booked their most expensive room, a suite, and to each and every query the answer was no problem, and the phone disconnected. When we finally arrived on our own we were told they had given our room to someone else by mistake, and after much shouting they dragged us to another hotel nearby, where next day we were again told to leave as they had booked guests. When we threatened to go to cops claude suddenly said our room in le blues was now available. It had no sea view, the sofa was not big enough for two, everything falling apart in the room, no tea or sugar, jan1 breakfast room shut at 8 am. Claude lied to us that banana beach club we wanted to visit on dec 31 was overbooked so we pay for dinner in his crappy hotel. He's a conman.
The staff was very friendly and offered good service but the hotel itself was a disappointment. A lot of revamping needs to be done for it to be of international standards
Toen we aankwamen in Mauritius na zó een lange vlucht, blijkt het hotel overboekt te zijn.
De manager/eigenaar heeft hier en daar gebeld en toen konden we in een appartement in Perebere.
Het ligt een paar kilometers verder dan Grandbaie.
Het kostte ons €12,50 extra per dag om naar Grandbaie te gaan met de taxi.
Nooit meer naar Le Blues.
