"Hotel Port Aux Basque was fantastic! We had just got off a long day on the ferry and everything was super smooth checking in. Sure, the rooms and facility are not as modern as other hotels, but it was quaint, lovely, clean! And great staff. The food in their dining room was fantastic. The lounge wasnt necessarily a "happening" place, but they put on the Jays game for us and we were able to relax and enjoy our evening after dinner. We had a horrrrrrible experience at an accommodation the night before the Ferry from North Sydney, so I was a bit apprehensive with a place that was independently owned again. BUT this was wonderful! We wished we had booked it for our way home, but it is sold out - understandably so! Wonderful place and a wonderful first impression of the rock! - highly recommend!!! "
