Camp Eddy

6/10 Okay

"This was our second stay at Camp Eddy. The first was in an airstream, and the second in a XL tiny home. Generally, I’m not sure the price is worth it when there are hotel options in GJ in the same or better price range. We paid premium for proximity to the river but in hindsight we could have easily just driven to one of the parking areas along the river to go for a walk. In hindsight we would have rather had a well cleaned hotel room than feel like we were camping. We had dirty bed sheets (dirt and pet fur) that the hosts remedied promptly. We appreciated their quick response, but not sure we’ll stay again and if we do it’ll be with tempered expectations."

"It was a good value and fine place to hang the hat for the night. They offered breakfast in a large dining area but it the food was pretty mediocre. The whole hotel could use an update but it'd be nice to keep some character. The pool area is ok but doesn't have a hot tub. Rooms were fine, but again could use some updating and a deep clean as it felt a little dingy but not too bad."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Grand Junction

4/10 Poor

"We were at a La Quinta in Moab the day before and it was like night and day. We couldn’t check in when we arrived because the internet was down. One of the elevators was out of service. There was only one bath towel in our room and no water cups. The breakfast selection was half of what we got in Moab. Very disappointing"

"Staff was great. Had our room moved twice due to wiring issues and no tv remote to turn on tv. Exterior of the motel was populated by one person sitting in their car as they had a variety of visitors. Lock and chain was broken on our front door but by that point we had no interest in moving rooms again."
