Looking for a place to unplug, relax and recharge? Superior Reflections Looking for a place to unplug (no WIFI), relax and recharge? Whether you’re enjoying coffee overlooking the lake, a glass of wine on the deck as kayakers glide past or watching the sea gulls in the afternoon, there’s nothing more relaxing. This is a 1 bed, 1 bath cabin with a full bed and small kitchen with basic necessities. There’s dining table with chairs and 2 comfortable chairs for relaxing. Outside there’s a deck with a table and chairs, along with a charcoal grill.

The steps take you down to the cobblestone beach where you can search for agates, stack rocks or read a book. An evening campfire on the shore gazing at the stars is the perfect way to end the day. This is a great rental combination with Superior Reflections 1 and 3 to relax and enjoy the beautiful north woods.

Across the highway is the Gitchi Gami bike trail. Temperance River State Park is practically in our backyard with miles of hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. Nearby you will find Cross River, Father Baraga’s Cross, and the Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center. The Schroeder Bakery is a great place to start your day with a coffee, breakfast sandwiches and bakery. After a day of hiking you could stop for a malt or pizza.

This is a seasonal cabin open May through October. Pets are welcome with prior approval and an additional fee, 2 pet maximum. Due to the location on the shore and season, water may taste salty. We provide drinking water for you.

Relaxing view of Lake Superior
We enjoyed our stay at Superior Reflections. The cabin was very clean and the view of the lake was spectacular. The only thing we were not satisfied with was the quality of the bed. The mattress was very hard and was not comfortable for us. This could be improved by adding a soft foam cover to make the bed more flexible. We have one at home and it does make a difference.

Our visit to Superior Reflections was exactly what we wanted to rest and recharge. We usually go out for daytime activities in the area, but this year we never left the cabin. Spectacular location on the lake!!

In a word: Amazing! I can’t say enough about this little piece of heaven. Right on the shore of Lake Superior. We loved listening to the waves splashing against the beach, a cool night fire in the moonlight and the abundant fresh air. It’s a great location for exploring the North Shore! The cabin had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again. Jill/Gary Rochester MN

Lovely view of Laker Superior!
I had a magical three night stay with the sound of waves soothing me to sleep. The cabin is clean and comfortable and it’s easy to walk down a few steps on a railed staircase to the beach. Or you can sit on the deck and see the lake from there.

Even Better!
This was our second stay at this lovely cabin. We can't love it more. It's still the slice of Heaven that it was a year ago. It's where you go to settle yourself; to renew your spirit and calm your soul. Barb has created a very special place for rest. For our groceries and fresh fish, we got what we needed at Tofte General Store. We went to Church on the Rocks at Father Baraga's Cross on Sunday morning. We hiked at Sugar Loaf and the state parks. We built fires on the beach. We spent a day in Grand Marais. We read books in the evening. It's just a wonderful little house along the North Shore. We can't wait to return next year.

Perfect Location. So peaceful, serene and beautiful.
The cabin and location was all I could have hoped for and perfect in every way. I loved hearing the waves of the lake and looking out onto the water from every window and seeing the sunrise in the morning. Even the sunset bathed the cabin in a gorgeous light. All I wanted to do at those times was just sit in peace taking in the beauty. The large windows opens up the cabin to light and make the place seem so much larger. I'm a female and was there alone and felt very safe. The cabin was very clean. The winters would be perfect because every room has a thermostat enabling it to be comfortably warm. There are many outlets so the extension cords I brought were not necessary. The hostess was very nice and quick to resound when I locked myself out of the cabin. The water pressure in the shower was excellent and there was plenty of hot water. There were large 5 lb bottles of water with a dispenser for drinking and brushing your teeth. There is a coffee pot, microwave, oven and stove. Be sure to bring coffee grounds if you are going to make coffee or better yet, get coffee from the Schroeder Bakery only 2 minutes South down the road. They are so nice there and the coffee was hot and smooth - not at all bitter. They also made the best malt I've ever had which I got to place in the freezer to eat in the evening. The pizza at Coho Café & Bakery in Lutsen not far North up the road was one of the best pizza's I've had. I will definitely come back. I've found my spot.

Amazing, relaxing, rejuvenating!
This the third year we have stayed at Superior Reflections #2, and it just keeps getting better! The weather was perfect, we spent our days hiking Temperance River State Park (an easy walk from the cabin), or biking to Tofte (4 miles away from cabin) and Schroeder (1 mile from cabin). I love to cook and we made fantastic dinners each night. We made a commitment not to work during our four day stay, and stuck to it! No TV at the cabin ensured we enjoyed the great outdoors. We fell asleep and woke up to the waves of Lake Superior as the cabin is literally 25 feet from the shore. If you want time off that is busy, luxury accommodations, full of planned activities and always eating out, then this place is not for you. If you want to truly unplug, do everything on your schedule, reconnect with your special person or family, and enjoy all that Lake Superior offers all in a super comfortable, clean simple cabin, then this is your spot! One piece of advice, if this kind of relaxation suits you, plan ahead because this little gem books up fast! I hope you enjoy this place as much as my bride and I have over the years. We plan to keep coming back, thank you Barb!!!!

Lovely spot!
We loved this charming cottage! The location right on the lake was magical. It was so nice to be able to open all the windows and listen to the sound of the waves hitting the rocks (with screens between us and the mosquitos!). Everything was extremely clean and well appointed. We hope to come back sometime soon!
