Check in was satisfactory. There’s a $50 deposit even when you pay at booking. The location is great right off 28th Street which is the main road through Grand Rapids. There’s no carpet on the floors in the rooms which is a requirement for me. I’d recommend removing the fabric office chair and sofa and replacing with leather type cover. The room was mostly clean. It was refreshed vs fully cleaned the other days. Staff were friendly and attentive. Continental breakfast provided with addition of waffle maker. Waffle batter was sour the one day I made them on this visit but excellent throughout previous stay. Coffee was not piping hot may need a machine for it or different storage vessel. Juice machine was out of service but there was a pitcher of OJ provided in the cooler. Overall experience was good. There were several sporting events in town this weekend so lodging was scarce.
