When we arrived there were a couple of black guys hanging around the front desk. I said “Hi” to them, made eye contact, and they moved out of our way so we could check in. My husband didn’t feel comfortable around them. I think maybe they were visiting with their girlfriends that worked there? We stayed on the second floor. The elevator wasn’t very clean. Our room was clean, though. The bed was okay. Breakfast was very good. As soon as I took something, it was replaced immediately. The lady that worked the breakfast did a great job! When we checked out, the gal working the front desk was very friendly.

last year I stayed in this hotel and was very pleased. This year I chose to book again and immediately upon stepping off the elevator, the amount of filth that was evident was alarming. The room had a chemical smell that was used to mask a musty odor. I asked to switch rooms. I was accommodated. The room was much cleaner, however, whomever was occupying the room above me was literally pounding and running around until 1 AM. I had to call the front desk twice. Got a terrible night sleep left in the morning to a downtown hotel that was top-notch for the same price.

Location is great. Easy to downtown and also John Ball Zoo. Staff, (shout out for Tina) but all very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet but the bed was not comfortable. Starbucks was a short walk.

Stayed here overnight for a show in downtown Grand Rapids. Hotel was very clean and price was reasonable. Breakfast has quick grab and go options like bagels, toast, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Location has easy access to freeway. Would stay here again

This was our first time to the Grand Rapids area and I picked the is hotel not knowing what to expect. The staff was unbelievably amazing! Bobbi Jo and her afternoon staff greeted us each day like we were friends! Helped us with accommodations we needed for a wheelchair. Breakfast was perfect for a quick meal before we got going in the am. While the property itself is older and could use thing like new carpet and a paint job, all in all a great experience!!
