Lake Folsom digs

We have stayed at Donna's place multiple times. It is comfortable and well stocked with linens and kitchen items. It is always interesting to see the view of Lake Folsom and how it changes depending on water levels. Donna is attentive and very responsive.

Beautiful views

This cozy studio is nicely furnished with lots of windows and beautiful views of Folsom Lake. The bedroom has a specular view that is worth the visit.

Perfect location; everything you need

This is our 3rd time staying here and it is a perfect location overlooking the lake with a path to the lake nearby. The unit is well equipped with all the creature comforts: soft towels in abundance; comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen; washer/dryer; good shower, etc. Just the best!

Beautiful location. Great owner

A great place for a staycation or for vacation. Beautiful view. Wonderful spot for afternoon walks and weekend hikes. Close to shopping. Donna is wonderful!!!

Lovely spot close to lake

This is the third time my daughter and I have stayed here when we attend the TBF races. The casita is perfect for us two and so close to trails and the lake - we rarely use the car once we are here. The casita is clean and well equipped- I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Granite Bay.

Love the Lake

Donna is a top tier host, everything was perfect. The Casita exceeding our expecations. The views and proximity to the Lake were fantastic. Donna communicates extremely well and all our needs were met. We can't wait to be back and hope someday to rent out the Main house!

Lovely in every way

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Casita d'Amore. It was lovely in every way. The neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful. Donna was wonderful with communicating with me in advance about everything I needed to know and answering all of my questions. The casita is spacious and lovely and has beautiful views of Folsom Lake. I was there to bike the American River Bike Trail, and the casita is very near to the trailhead, and a great place to return to and relax after a day of activity.

Perfect getaway

This was just the right home base for us this weekend. Donna made sure we had everything we needed. We barely had time to scratch the surface of all the area has to offer. Glorious view of the sunrise over the lake. Hope to come and stay again!

Everything was perfect

Donna is a wonderful host. She’s there if you need her, but isn’t intrusive. The Casita was everything we had hoped. Lake Folsom is beautiful and has hiking trails if you are so inclined. A great place to stay. We will be back.

Another perfect weekend at Granite Bay

My 15 year old daughter and I rent this Casita whenever my daughter has a mountain bike race in Granite Bay. This place is just perfect for two people, and an easy bike ride to the park and lakefront (and starting line). It's always clean, has a well equipped kitchen and bathroom, and parking is easy. Donna is also easy to communicate with, friendly, and so reasonable. I highly recommend the Casita for anyone looking to get away. An added bonus is every time we stay here, my daughter wins her race! So there's that, too. 😄

Relaxing

Wow! Where to begin our amazing weekend away. The location was PERFECT! Yes you can walk down to the bay from the house. It was a bit more work for us with a little one going down the hill, but it was perfect for the 1st day since the weather wasnt the greatest. The casita is just like the photos. This place had EVERYTHING you needed. Seasonings for food, syrup for pancakes, coffee etc. Even ziplocks ans tupperwear. I loved that everything was labeled (what sheets went to what, extra towels etc). No need for ac the bay breeze was great. We had two cars and followed donnas directions. Our car safe in the extra lot down the street. The place was just what we need for our family. We had a great stay. If you want to take a trip down memory lane check out there dvd collection.this is definitely a favorite place and will be back next summer! Thanks so much Donna.

Bed was very comfortable

We visited family in the area and stayed here Sat through Tues. The bed was the most comfortable for us because its a memory foam, like we have at our own home. We gave the cleanliness 4/5 due to a few areas in the kitchenette floor had some spillage that was not wiped up from the maids. Looked to be something from the trash can was removed and they just didn't see what dripped on the floor, so not a big deal to report as we just wiped that up. The outside of the front area of this home had a lot of leaves debris, and it looked unkept, but we figured their gardeners may not have been there, or there was a wind storm ? Anyway, the rest of the unit was clean and it was separated from the guests in the main house. The only thing that was disturbing was the parking situation. The parking pad on the street was only big enough for 2 vehicles. The guests in the main unit had 5-7 cars at anytime and they didn't park well at all. The host did have to contact them upon arrival and then we had to bang on their door to ask them to fix their parking situation the next day as well. The host apologized for this inconvenience and provided a small gift upon check out, which we appreciated the acknowledgement of the parking issue we experienced. We liked the area where this home is located. We felt safe and it was quiet enough to get some rest after our long days of family visits. This host was great with communication and fairness of nightly rate for this unit.

Casita d’Amore is perfect

Perfect for a honeymoon or a family stay. But know your children if you take little ones. My grandkids stayed the night twice, but only because they listen well. If it had been my other daughter’s children, the stairs would have been too inviting a play area. I could never have taken them. However, my youngest daughter’s kids (4, 10, 15) are every parent’s dream. I only had to tell the 4 yo once (day one) to stay off the stairs. The stairs are inside, so heavy (beach?) items can be left downstairs. We all loved playing on the beach and fooling around in the water. The walk there was easy (after climbing the driveway). It brought joy to my heart to see my grandkids (and adult children) have so much fun playing in the water. The set up is very lovely. The master bedroom has a large king sized bed, a coffee table with 2 chairs, night stands, entrance to the laundry room and bathroom, walk in closet with plenty of space for just about anything. And it’s well stocked! Bath robes (2), extra pillows, blankets, (I think) a privacy screen (I didn’t need to use it so can’t be sure), etc. Romance is in the air with the glass enclosed, gas fireplace between the bedroom and living room. You can watch your kids from the bed or put up the privacy screen. The kitchen is well stocked. Pots, pans, other cooking things are left of the fridge. There wasn’t anything I needed that I needed to cook that I didn’t find in the pantry or drawers. Spices are above the stove, amazingly well stocked.🥰😍❤

This is a great property, beautiful location and very quiet neighborhood. Communication was great with the host. PArking is a bit tight but the host was great and shifted parking spaces around to accomodate my vehicle.
