Beautiful home on the Ausable River. We enjoyed our stay very much. Very quiet with very little canoe traffic (I believe we only saw one in 6 days). We were very impressed with how clean the home was and the beds were all very comfortable. Darlene is very responsive to any questions.

Beautiful property with plenty of space for relaxing on the river. Easy river access, and a lot of wildlife: butterflies, birds, mink, snakes. Big kitchen with the wildest stove I've ever seen. Close to plenty of canoe/kayak rentals and Hartwick Pines state park.

A most perfect stay was had! Beautifully appointed A-frame right on the AuSable river complete with many original features including sinks and tubs and a lovely vintage Tappan electric range with chest height ovens and range that slides in and out. The property was private and peaceful about 25min from town on a little gravel road with a few cabins. Kitchen had everything including good knives, a nice selection of spices and any needed cookware. The hardwood floors were gorgeous and the host was very responsive and helpful. This is the kind of place you don’t want to tell anyone about for fear that it will never be available when you want to come back!

AFrame

The cabin was everything we expected and then some. We feel in love with the place and plan on a return trip in the future. Darlene is a great host. She is quick to answer if you have questions and really cares about her renters. She goes above and beyond to make your stay great. I can’t say enough about the place. It’s beautiful, very clean, very safe and you won’t want to leave. It is definitely a little piece of paradise. The river is so relaxing and fun. Thank you Vrbo for helping us find our perfect vacation spot and thank you Darlene for sharing your beautiful cabin with us.

Amazing stay in the AuSable AFrame

Everything about this property exceeded any expectation I had. The view- the land/rockscaping that takes you down to the river is just beautiful. The river is so close to the house the views are stunning every direction you look. There is a “patio” area that is literally on the river with comfortable furniture and is covered and dry even when it rained. The house is immaculate, clean and so comfortable. The decorating is just so cool and inviting it is hard to describe. The beds and bedding are top notch. We travel and use VRBO very often and this is the most unique and spectacular house we have stayed in.we look forward to going back. You will love the host too, she was just charming!!

Loved it!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay on the river! You can toss your kayaks & paddle boards in the river right outside the cabin for a 45 minute float to Kellogg's bridge. We did that over & over again! The cabin is just like the pictures. So beautiful! So clean! The host is very kind, helpful & responsive! She offered us more firewood when we ran out the last night. She also offered to drop us off for longer kayak trips but we were quite satisfied with the 45 minute trips. We enjoyed putt putt golf & a nice hike in Gaylord (40 minute drive from cabin) kayaking, campfires, grilling out, cornhole & simply sitting by the river. I miss it all & hope to go back again! Very impressed with the cabin & host! I will say make sure you bring all your favorite drinks & food. We couldn't find a lot of things we were looking for at the grocery stores but we eat a vegan diet so it was a bit more challenging. But we LOVED this place!!
