2-Bedroom Cabin - Otsego Lake

Located along the Iron Belle Trail centered on beautiful Otsego Lake in the middle of Gaylord's Golf Mecca. Enjoy the sunset over the Lake in our cozy & clean 2-Bedroom / 1-Bath cabin with authentic stone masonry fireplace in the Living room and cute Kitchenette. This unit is a "twin" of another 2-Bedroom unit in the same cottage. There's a wall and lockable door between the two. Rent them both and have the 4-Bedroom, 2-Bath cottage to yourselves.

Our lakefront deck & dock are perfect for enjoying the water with great swimming, boating and fishing. Several golf and dining choices are within 5-minutes of the cabin. Snowmobiling, skiing, hiking, biking, any outdoor activity is right outside the door.

Golfing/fishing stay

Being able to dock my boat at night was very convenient. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was the traffic noise from Old 27. I would stay there again

There was no water when I arrived. Did not get into cabin till 9pm and check in was supposed to be 3 pm. They were still painting outside till Sat. He did move us to a bigger cabin that had water and a better heating system and it was nice.The view of the lake was nice, but access was across a 4 lane road and a lot of stairs down to it.

Charming and vintage

This cottage is right across from Otsego Lake and a very short walk to a swimming beach. The sunsets were amazing. It is charming, clean, and exactly what a Northern Michigan cottage should look like. Great communication with the property owner. Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyable

Our host was very kind and thoughtful. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. They are in the process of remodeling the outside and the landscaping. The lake is very beautiful and the dock with the fire pit was a very nice way of enjoying the sun set. So very glad that we stayed there.

Weekend Getaway

The place was nice but the photos online were a bit misleading, making it seem as if the property was bigger and that the water was more easily accessible. On top of that they appeared to be doing construction and had stuff sitting around everywhere.

A little disappointed

The cabin was clean, but I thought the couch was another sleeping space. I had to buy sheets and a comforter. There were 3 adults and we each needed our own bed The lake wasn’t convenient. Crossing a busy highway and a railroad track to get to it. Water quality is poor with high e-coil readings. There was actually a warning against swimming. That should be shared with guests. Most people do not think to check water quality. Transparency about this would increase your integrity. More info about what was needed in the cabin regarding toilet paper and paper towels would have been helpful. The towels are of poor quality, and there was one hand towel, 4 towels and 3 washcloths. Lowering your price is recommended and more descriptive narratives on your site.

Didn’t even have any running water, grass and weeds were not cut nor was the dock or deck ready for guest. No outside seating or seating area, no fire pit and no hot tub. Place was a complete disaster and host kept making promises he could not keep.

Notice of address needs to be sooner when reservation is paid in full.

Parking with a boat is very limited. Although, we were fortunate to have an understanding neighbor.

Nice feature was Ostego lake access across the road from property. No air conditioning. We old people sometimes need it. Good location for golf!
