About this property
Wakeley Bridge Sauna Retreat. Walk to Au Sable River Access
Nestled on a large wooded lot just a short walk from Wakeley Bridge Landing, this cozy 3-bedroom, 2-bath home offers the perfect place to unplug, explore, and reconnect with nature.
Sleeping 6–8 guests comfortably, the property is designed for those who appreciate simple comforts, outdoor adventure, and the natural beauty that makes this area so special.
Our family lived here and built our lives around the outdoors. Mornings often began with coffee while watching deer and wild turkey wander through the yard, followed by time on the river, miles of trails, or a day spent fishing on the Au Sable.
Evenings were reserved for gathering around the fire pit, sharing stories under the stars, and warming up in the wood-burning sauna after a full day outside.
The location is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Wakeley Bridge Landing is just a short walk away, providing easy access to the river for fly fishing, paddling, and exploring. Nearby Wakeley Lake offers excellent hiking, trail running, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, and year-round recreation.
Whether you're casting for trout, exploring forest trails, hunting, kayaking, biking, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, you'll find endless opportunities right outside the door.
Property highlights: • 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms • Sleeps 6–8 guests • Large private lot surrounded by nature • Outdoor wood-burning sauna • Fire pit with picnic table and outdoor bar area • Frequent wildlife sightings including deer and turkey • Short walk to Wakeley Bridge Landing and river access • Minutes from Wakeley Lake hiking and biking trails • Cozy, comfortable atmosphere focused on outdoor living
This is a great place to slow down, embrace the outdoors, and experience the simple rhythms of northern Michigan. If you love rivers, forests, saunas, campfires, and days spent outside, you'll feel right at home here.
More interior photos are coming soon as we complete a few finishing touches and prepare for the upcoming season. We look forward to sharing this special place with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
