This review is as incomprehensible, as it is inaccurate. We had excellent friendly relations with this guest, so it is hard to understand how he could write such a wild misrepresentation. A storm blew out the internet and other things around the island and the internet provider was not able to repair or replace the router immediately. There was no sewage leak. We always meet our guests and bring them to the house, as we did with this guest. And he certainly was able to make his coffee every morning. And so on. The house is certainly as described in the listing, and in an ideal location, as verified by comments from our many satisfied guests over the years. It is is an excellent state of repair, with new modern fixtures and everything working. We can only direct the reader to read all our other fine five star reviews from the past years, and to book with us and come see for yourselves. You will love it, as so many have!

The house is exactly as shown in the pictures. As anyone can see from the pictures, there is a huge terraced garden and shady grapevines. The neighbors are nowhere closeby. (Although Stella's Auntie from next door will come and bring you fresh baked bread from her outdoor wood oven!) It is extremely private with a wonderful peaceful, serene atmosphere and view. As for the owners and manager, we live next door, and a couple houses away. And, respecting the privacy of guests... we leave our guests alone, after a friendly greeting and assurances that we are nearby if they need anything, plus they have our telephone and email. (Often we do have barbecues with guests, depending on the dynamics--we leave them alone, and follow their lead. These guests who wrote this review made it clear they wanted to be left alone when we said anything you need at all we are right here closeby, just let us know--we received a very curt, no, we need nothing) These guests left a day early without contacting us and without a word. We were baffled! There is a wide, safe cement stairway up from the street. The steps are mentioned in descriptions of the house. We showed the couple the clean towels and sheets in the drawer by the bed in case they wanted to change the bed, also beach towels, anything one might need. The house is yours for the time you rent it. There is no maid service offered. The house is sparkling clean when we give it to guests and we expect to find it the same way. We do not go into the house while guests are in residence--we respect their privacy! The bed is a standard double bed and easily accessible--as pictured--a typical Greek loft bed. We have had many guests over the past three years--of many ages, old and young-- and always a five star review , wonderful comments, which you can see and read, and very friendly relations. We are baffled by this quite unusual and out of character response and we would wonder just why these guests did not communicate with us. In any case, as many other guests have exclaimed happily when they enter the house and the yard "It's exactly like the pictures"! What you see is what you get. And a lot more, too. Very friendly people welcoming you and extending gracious Greek hospitality. We have made happy friendships with our guests and hope to continue to do the same! Everyone is welcome! Come and stay with us any time year round!

I might add that Archangelos is, even at the height of the tourist season in summer, not a tourist town like Lindos or other more hectic places, but, though containing all the stores and services of a large town, its pace is more quiet, and definitely that of an actual Greek village, relatively untouched by tourism. This is why many visitors who simply like Greece as Greece in a traditional way, choose Archangelos with its more quiet non-touristy atmosphere. Do come again, off-season or on, the house is available year round.

Dear Cristina and Giuliano, It was lovely having you, and we look forward to seeing you again in the future!. Stella was so busy with the festival at the monastery working all day and night too, as thousands of people come from all over, so she did not have a chance to see you when you left and to give you the Archangel Michael icon to remember our little town of Archangelos! Next time when we see you! Thank you for your lovely review! We are so glad you enjoyed the house, and the town. Mia Fatsa, Mia Ratsa, after all, Italians and Greeks are so much alike, same people! However we are sorry you didn’t mention to us in person that you couldn’t find a potholder, and the shower curtain was bothering you, that is so easily fixed, and Constantinos is there next door every day at home in case you need anything, and also Tharreni closeby who speaks perfect English, (and a little opera Italian, haha), in case there is any confusion. We are always available for anything you might need. I don’t know if you can change the four stars to five, but if it is possible, you know, this is what determines our position on the website, so that people will see the house. The more stars we get the closer it puts us to the top of the list so that people will see the house. Anyway, thanks again for your visit, we loved having you, and hope to see you again. Thank you for your visit. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Certainly tastes vary when it comes to sleeping arrangements, and for that reason we ordered a "medium" mattress for the house, neither "soft" nor "hard", so we are sorry it did not meet your tastes, but you could have mentioned it and we would have supplied you with some soft padding. As for the size of the mattress, it is a double, which is the standard for sleeping two people, couples, world-wide. Again, tastes vary, but.... As for "standing on the bed", one needs to realize that it is a sleeping loft--the floor of the sleeping loft is the bed, one is not standing up on top of a "bed" to open the closet. (as one can see from the pictures) Any concerns any guest has can be mentioned to the owners, who are readily available next door, as is their friend (who meets all the guests and assists with managing the guesthouse) who is fluent in English and lives only a few steps away, all of whom are all too willing and able to accommodate any reasonable request.
