Lovely stay at the elite suites. The helpful and friendly staff were always happy to assist. Varkarola serves good food and had entertainment most evenings. Great pools and beach area. Would definitely return.

Our trip was interrupted and shortened due to our flights, but the staff at elite suites made sure we made the most of our holiday. They were extremely friendly when we arrived. Our room was Gorgeous and larger than expected. When we overslept breakfast, the restaurant manager accommodated us and fed us and our toddler. The entire staff made us feel welcomed and loved.

Excellent place, relaxing 10 day stay
Elite suites was an excellent place to stay. We chose a pool + garden suite which was overall really great, clean and well appointed. More on this below👇 These were relatively minor defects in otherwise great room, broken vanity mirror / missing private curtain. The reception and room staff were all very attentive, super friendly and we looked forward to the frequent deliveries of drinks and snacks. Evening food at restaurant on site was good, but we opted only to do this once as it was very ‘hotel restaurant’ but to a good standard. The menu didn’t seem to change (maybe they did). The waiters were amazing, really great at breakfast, lunch and dinner. So friendly and professional. Breakfasts are varied, some cook to order and good quality. Room service menu is good, for those a longer stay I think this should vary a bit too. This only real problem for the stay was traffic noise front the main road right next to the “pool plus garden suites”. This isn’t mentioned anywhere (anywhere I saw) prior to booking, but it’s noisy, and it’s noisy 24 hours. Since you book the garden and pool to spend time by, be aware of this, I could still hear it inside. Some of the pool only rooms are set back from the road, some are above the garden suites and will also be noisy, but less so. Overall excellent! Would stay again.

Beautiful room and so relaxing
Gorgeous hotel - we had a private pool and garden suite which was very private. Very clean and the service from the staff was fantastic. You are right across from the beach and only a short taxi ride (€12) from Rhodes town where there are lots of lovely restaurants. The food at the hotel is great too. My only comment would be that all the tv channels bar news are in German - not a big deal as we didn’t watch any tv but just something they might want to address.

Great find
We stayed in Elite suites with a sea view & wasn't disappointed. The staff were very friendly & attentive at all times. Expensive but worth it. However, they don't advertise the fact that the complex is facing North! We quickly worked out we had the sun on our deck from around 2.30 which meant going else where to find a sunny spot before then.

Better than average hotel with very good service
If I am honest I would say this was a better than average but not exceptional family holiday hotel. There is nothing I can point to to say was disappointing, other than perhaps to note that the hotel is not on the beach itself (there is a private tunnel under the road to get to the beach, which is reserved for hotel guests), and the beach is not exactly world class. That said, the hotel has all the facilities you would want for a family holiday, we found the accommodation to be spacious and well maintained, the sea view rooms gave a nice vista and the food was better than the average large hotel buffet selection, albeit definitely not fine dining. What was unreservedly good was the attitude of the staff, who were uniformly friendly, helpful and very good with the kids. It's also only a short drive, or longish walk (we did it once) into Rhodes town, the medieval part of which is very interesting / picturesque and makes for a good day trip. We were there early in the season so not all the excursions that one can do later were available, but the visit to Lindos was also very enjoyable and interesting (a donkey ride up to the acropolis is a sure way to get children more interested in historical sites!). All in all, I would recommend this place - especially if you have younger children and/or what a hassle-free holiday for a few days where you don't have to think too much about where to have dinner and so on, and on the basis of the level of service provided by the staff.

Beautiful Stay
Hotel amongst the nicest in Rhodes. Room with private pool great views of ocean. Near enough to towns, onsite car rental was VERY cheap so you can go anywhere on island. Staff impeccable. Pools and beach all great. Breakfast delicious. Food and drink in lobby all day. Spa and bath house is brand new. Shower and tub inside room.

Amathus Hotel is fantastic!
Throughout my travels around the world, Amathus Hotel has been by far the best hotel experience I have ever had. The ambience, room, facilities, and more importantly the Staff; is well beyond any expectation a person could have or want. If this hotel is available in any of my future travels, I will not hesitate in enjoying this great experience again.

We went for the suite with private pool on the first floor. Excellent room. Good view of the sea and sunset. Staff are all very nice and helpful. We arrived late at 10pm due to flight delay and we were starving. Luckily the hotel restaurant opened till late, last order at 11pm. The buffet breakfast is also great with great varieties to choose from. Room tips: don't go for the ground floor room with garden, the higher floor you go the better view you get

Nice hotel for seeing Rhodes
We had the Private Pool Garden rooms. Great rooms, very nice and have everything you need. Private pool is nice, but for our visit was a bit too cold. We were there in October near end of season. Location is good for getting into Old Town, and for tour to Lindos. We used taxi everywhere. The breakfast staff was fantastic, and the front desk very helpful. The spa staff and pool staff not so impressive, they weren't eager to make your stay great. The spa is a bit lacking. The facilities aren't very well supplied; ie. not towels in locker rooms, no amenities... and the facilities aren't really impressive, just nice. I really enjoyed our stay here and recommend it.

recent stay at Elite Suite late Sept/early Oct
stayed for two weeks spent a lot of time in our private pool and the sea swimming,weather great,lots of nice restaurants near by. Location close to Rhodes Town, taxis near by and cost reasonable We hired a motorbike for a week again very reasonable, Rhodes is a beautiful Island and it was great way to see it. Both the New Town and particularly the Old Town worth visiting although at times you were pestered and had to be politely firm. Stefano and the staff couldnt do enough for us. The Restaurant at the Varkarola was excellent and well worth attending their theme nights especially Lobster night on a Friday. The Spa was a lovely facility and all the pools and gardens were well maintained. Day trips to other Islands worth a visit particularly Symi. Marmaris great or shopping but very busy and the people selling were persistant. There are plenty of boat trips at the Harbour in the New Town and no shortage of things to do. The food in all the restaurants we ate in were every good and cooked fresh so had to wait a little linger to be served. We visited the Butterfly Valley but wrong time of year no butterflies but worth a visit, lovely walk. Lindos is also worth a visit and although busy there is a lot to see and restaurants served a variety of fresh fish and other local cuisines. Rhodes is a great place to relax and enjoy good food in friendly surroundings. We prefer to go at the end of the season as the weather is still great but everything a little bit quieter.

Dreadful part of the island and noisy main road
5* accommodation in a run down part of the island and package holiday service. We found the hotel garden rooms less than 10m from the busy coast road and asked to be moved to a quieter suite which we were given on the 6th floor behind a noisy hotel power and air conditioning plant. We were offered a free meal as the cost of the room was less with no private pool. We were staying one night after a week on Kastellorizo and had beach and casual clothes. Therefore we couldn't take a meal as every restaurant insisted on shoes, trousers and shirts. This was not made clear at booking as we packed for a beach holiday. On check out despite a €100 deposit being taken on arrival we had to wait while a frosty receptionist told us we could not leave until housekeeping had inspected the room and checked the mini bar. We informed her that we hadn't used anything and also reported two faults in the room. 15 minutes later we were allowed to leave when housekeeping confirmed what we told her. Poor customer interaction and making guests feel their was no trust and guilt rather than innocence were assumed until proven otherwise. A bad experience and certainly not 5 star service.

Modern comfort at its best
A beautiful hotel, with private pool, and 2 mins walk to the beach. The hotel staff were amazing and made you feel so welcome, and made sure all your needs were met. The rooms were very high quality, furnished to the highest standard, pool area very clean and looked out over the sea. The food was amazing, and I cannot fault it at all. I have to say that we needed a relaxing break and we certainly got it. With a few visits to the spa that offered a variety of treatments, again the spa staff were friendly and welcoming.

Eccellent service in a beautiful hotel
We stayed in family suites at the hotel and were upgraded to suites with a private pool. Room was very spacious, had two sinks in the bathroom which is practical for a family of four, there is a bath with shower as well as a separate shower . All of the staff was very eager to please the guests. There is a special reception for the Elite suites section of the hotel where guests are welcome to have some drinks and snacks throughout the day. Lounge chairs on the beach are included, and although it is not the most beautiful beach, the hotel maintains it very well. The gym area in the spa is well equipped and prices for all food and drink ( even room service) were very reasonable for a five star hotel.

Wonderful reception. Great room. Excellent restaurant. We did not bother with the private pool, which is a nice to have, but probably not a must, unless maybe you are new lovers or love your privacy etc. The suites are part of a larger hotel complex, which you have access to, 5 km from airport and same distance from Rhodes - it is smack in between the two, so good location on the west coast. Sandy, turning into stoney beach as you get to the water, across the road, so not great. Some shops and medium quality restaurants just a few hundred metres walk. Found the small lobby for the 'suites' very useful as you can have complimentary soft drinks and snacks whenever you want (and an appertifs if you are having dinner in the hotel). Black pool very sexy but we enjoyed the main pool (part of the rest of the hotel complex) more, as it was better for kids. Pool bar lunches very good value for money, but limited options. Hotel does not at all enforce it's own 'no reservation' of sun lounger policy, which was a shame. Small issue with the complimentary daily water bottle (was it or wasn't it complimentary?), but did appreciate the complimentary fruit etc. All in all a very good hotel, bordering on being excellent.

A Great Hotel
We had a wonderful stay. We had a very large room, with a private pool and garden and a great sea view. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a large bowl of fruit on our first day, and were left little gifts of food and drink every day. I had my birthday whilst there and was surprised with a bottle of bubbly and delicious Greek sweets. The manager Leonidas and his staff really go the extra mile to make you feel special

Gorgeous modern hotel with private pools
We have just returned from a lovely relaxing week long stay at the Amathus Elite Suites. The rooms themselves are lovely and modern, not massive, but to be honest you don't need anymore space, as it was only mainly used for sleeping. The bed was huge and so comfy!! The private swimming pool was nice touch, although extremely cold, but it was late April, so would be much more of a pleasure in the later summer months. We cannot fault the staff, (and the local people!), all were so friendly, in particular Leon the suite manager and Christian who works in the restaurant. Theres a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars a 5-10 minute walk away from the hotel, and a lot were open even though it was so early in the season. I cannot recommend Da Romeos restaurant or Sebastians Sports bar enough - best cocktails and service ever. The owners really made our holiday feel even more special due to their friendliness and attentiveness. I would love to go back, but would prefer to have a garden room next time, as there was limited sun on the balcony (although a good amount of shade for those who need to cool down). The garden pool rooms seem to have a lot more sunshine, and outside space.

Wir durften 1 Woche auf Rhodos verbringen. Es war einfach traumhaft. 15 Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt, ist es jedoch etwas abgelegen. Für Badeferien ideal. Wer Shopping mag, muss eher etwas südlicher gehen. Das Hotel war sehr sauber und die Mitarbeitenden sehr höflich und aufmerksam. Es fehlte an nichts.

We booked a garden suite for a week, the room itself was comfortable but certain amenities were lacking such as consistant availability of free water. The suite did suit a small family but as parents do not expect much privacy. Outdoor pool and terrace was nice. The real issue was that some services were just not up to scratch for a 5* hotel. The big pool was shared with All inclusive guests, so the services were limited. The spa pool on the Elite Suites side was calm but nothing special. The restaurant was subpar, nice staff and attentive service but the dishes were rather heavy and not particularly well crafted - more an all inclusive standard rather that of a boutique hotel standard. The spa was a bit run down, with no towels available at the gym or spa. I had a rather poor treatment - many different kinds of massage were offered but it seemed like the treatment was one and the same. Pointless to offer a sports massages when the staff is not trained to offer one. At the big pool shared with the Rhodes Bay hotel, there was a small activity corner (pool, air hockey, darts & ping pong). Kids had to insert coins to the pool and air hockey which again seemed like a bit of a cheap choice from the hotel. Summa summarum, Elite Suites is a bolt on to the Rhodes Bay hotel that caters for All Inclusive guests. You will enjoy the room but don't expect a 5* experience otherwise.

Kurzferien in Rhodos
sehr schöne Woche. Die Küstenstrasse unterhalb des Ressorts hört man etwas, allerdings hat es sehr gute Fenster. Der Kiesstrand ist natürlich nicht so toll wie feiner Sandstrand, dafür ist die Nähe zu Rhodosstadt mit den guten Busverbindungen gut. Das Personal ist sehr kompetent und freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
