Everything was "right" about this hotel; The convenient and quiet location in the center of Firostefani, the intuitive and knowledgeable front desk staff, Dennis and Yulie (sorry if I spelled that wrong!)...the absolute serenity of our balcony (room 104) at sunset...the room was small but well-appointed, and everyday, housekeeping returned the room to an untouched state!..We spent four nights in Santorini, exploring, and before long, we realized our favorite place to be was the Hotel Galini, and the Galini Cafe...If someone said I had to spend the rest of my life in one chair, I would choose the corner table in their rooftop cafe, just staring at the caldera, my cappacino being refilled by Yolena and Vula, two of the hardest working girls in Greece! It might sound shallow that the high point of my two weeks in that beautiful country was breakfast there, but I can't ignore my feelings! Compared to Fira, there are far fewer dining options, but directly behind the hotel is Aktaion, a family restaurant celebrating 100 years of simple perfection. All in all, a flawless experience.
