Great find
loved this place, I got a very warm welcome and shown to my room. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. I was allowed a very late check-out which I really appreciated, having a flight at 19:40. I have already booked to stay here again and will do so repeatedly as I go to Crete often, - could not recommend this place more highly

Hotel was in a perfect position. Stayed at the back on the ground floor. Would have preferred a room on the floor above as we had a child under the age of 2years so it made it a bit harder for us with the balcony. But apart from that it was. Great stay

Ideally located a few minutes walk to the beach & opposite a bakery. The swimming pool & balcony were great. The room air conditioning was very efficient as it gets very hot during the day.

Great apartment with lots of extras
The Niriides is a fab little apartment block located very centrally in Almyrida and just a short walk from the beach. There's a great bakery just across the road who apart from lovely bread, sell a huge array of cakes and the best frappe in town! The apartment differs from many in that there are complimentary bottles of wine, olive oil and raki in the room and a small selection of jams, tea and coffee. There is a bottle of washing up liquid provided which is great as you never use a whole bottle whilst on holiday. The bathroom has some amenities and the daily cleaner always makes sure there's a spare toilet roll. The bed, for Greece is super comfy: memory foam I think. That for us is a HUGE bonus - getting home without sore joints! We had an upstairs room at the back which was lovely and quiet. I would think the front facing rooms would be noisy as it's on a busy crossroads. The swimming pool is clean and refreshing with a bar alongside which wasn't actually open when we stayed at the end of May. The only downside and the reason I have given 4* instead of 5 is the bathroom. Unlike most Greek bathrooms which are wetrooms, this one has a tiny little cubicle in the corner. I'm far from large but found it really restrictive. The wifi was also really slow. Whilst it's not great anywhere in the resort, Niriides was almost unusable.

Excellent Apartment
Excellent apartments. Spotlessly clean. All the comforts we need - free air con WiFi lovely big comfy bed fabulous pool. Small and friendly. Our second year - we never go back places - but we'll be going back here next year! Wonderful low key beach resort with a dozen or so restaurants/tavernas with a safe sandy beach and azure sea.

Highly recommended
Absolutely fantastic would have no hesitation in recommending will definately be returning ourselves. Well positioned in the Village, Bakery directly opposite! Beach and Tavernas all within 5 minutes walk.The Owners and all the Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of interesting Guests too from all over the world!

Perfect for what we needed and clean!
The beds were very comfortable, one of the best on Crete. The kitchen has everything you need. Hotel staff was nice. The pool and grounds looked amazing. To Note: We stayed one night in the off season and I'm pretty sure we were the only guests in the hotel, so I can't comment on how it would be at capacity, but it was perfect for what we needed and would definitly stay again.

Perfect!
Nitrides apartments are perfectly situated close to the beach and tavernas. The rooms are large, well equipped and cleaned every day. Mosquito plugs, guest size soap,shower gel and shampoo are provided for your arrival. We also received a welcome pack of wine, olive oil, raki, tea, coffee and jam. The owner and his staff are very friendly and helpful. There are two small supermarkets, a bakery and a well stocked pharmacy within close proximity to the hotel. We had a wonderful time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Almyrida is a lovely small town and Niriides is the perfect place to stay. Value for money, clean and comfortable accommodation 1 minute walk from the beach side tavernas. I would recommend to anybody looking for a peaceful and relaxing family holiday.

Beautiful, clean Hotel close to beach.
The hotel was situated in a brilliant position, close to the beach and everything you need to have a great holiday. Very very clean and very very friendly family run place. Ideal for children as we have 2 boys, the pool was great for them. We will definitely be visiting again.

Very homely establishment, very friendly. Well maintained rooms all with balconys. Lovely clean swimming pool. The situation was great, on the edge of the village only 200 metres from plenty of eating houses and the sea-front. Well worth a visit. Our first visit to Crete but we will return. Almyrida a lovely small town, plenty of places to eat even though it was October, the weather was excellent and as it was so quiet it was really relaxing with everyone totally laid back. The local bus stopped outside the hotel and ran into Chania 4 times a day, only 2euro 90cents each way. Lovely walks in and around the area.

great hotel in Crete
this hotel ticks all the boxes for a very relaxing break. The bakery is opposite, the supermarket is 2mins walk and the beach a 5 min walk. there are numerous restaurants along the sea front for lunch or supper. the sea seems very clean and clear. The apartments are cleaned daily and contain all you need for a holiday. On arrival there is wine, water and fruit in the fridge. There is a beautiful pool right outside the rooms. The owner could not be nicer or more helpful. We hired a car from the airport in Chania, but you don't need it at all in Almiryda

Very clean room and facilities in general. Lovely pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Felt welcome. Convenient location right by shops, bakery and bus stop (to Chania). Parking nearby easy. Had a room on the upper floor overlooking pool - nice outlook and cool as north facing. Only snag was we found the road a bit noisy during the day though no problem in the evening and at night. Only a short walk to the beach and restaurants etc. Quiet resort - were not constantly pestered when walking by restaurants, unlike some busier resorts elsewhere in Crete.

This family run apartments were the best we could have hoped for! The owner was so helpful the room great pool good beach nearby Sandy and safe. Nearby restaurants supermarket with everything you could need. Welcome fruit wine and water in room. We asked owner to arrange cabs which he did waiting for us at airport although our flight was late getting into Crete by two hours. On our return to airport we had a call from owner telling us we had left a phone charger in our room he offered to bring it to airport!! We said it was fine as we have spares. What service!! We highly recommend.

Perfect hotel for a family.
This was an excellent hotel and we had a fantastic holiday. The rooms and all of the other facilities, including the pool, were spotless and in a very good state of repair. The hotel is ideally situated just a block back form the beach, close enough to make access easy but far enough away to be quiet.

Excellent place to stay for a holiday
The Niriides Apartments are an excellent place to stay and spend a holiday. The apartments are clean, well maintained and spacious. The business is family owned and the owner is always on site and is extremely friendly and helpful. He offered to arrange a taxi for us prior to our arrival and had left a bowl of fruit, a bottle of water and a bottle of wine for us in our room We arrived at 11pm and this was no trouble and we received a warm welcome. The swimming pool is excellent and well maintained, it is a popular place to relax. The location is also excellent, there are two small supermarkets literally on the doorstep which sell all normal supplies including fresh fruit and vegetables. There's is an excellent and friendly bakery directly opposite and there is plenty of space to park a car in the quiet road running outside the apartments. You are also only a two minutes walk from the beaches and restaurants. Overall the the Niriides is an excellent place to stay and the owner works hard to make it so. We would definitely stay again.

We have just had a great October stay in the Niriides apartments in Almyrida. The apartment was spacious,very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed; and it was serviced daily. The pool was large and had plenty of loungers. There is a bakery just opposite which keeps very long hours, as do the two nearby mini markets. The beach and restaurants are literally 2 minutes away, and there are frequent buses to Chania. A wonderful find in western Crete!

Nice apartment, charming village, incredible beach
Fully (or almost) equipped apartment, very nice swimming pool, in a small but charming village, at one block of a white sand beach. Difficult to find the place without a GPS or arriving very late. But once you get it, it is a very good place to do center, at 40 min from Chania, Rethimon and the caves (all the west of Crete, basically) One of the best things of the village is that it was not (yet!) fully exposed to the tourism, so there is infraestructure, nice taverns, but not tourist traps. But get by car or moped, or really know what you are doing.

Beautiful hotel in quiet location
Having sampled many Greek apartments in the past, I was not prepared for the clean, modern Niriides hotel. The studio was spacious, immaculately clean and well maintained, with a good size balcony. The "kitchen" area had a full size fridge with excellent freezer compartment, a small oven/ grill with 3 rings, a kettle and all the crockery & cutlery you might want. A couple of extra saucepans and a frying pan would have been useful for anyone who really wanted to cook. but most people don't want to. The owner was helpful and informative and always on site. The shops are adjacent and the beach 100 yards away but the pool was too good to spend much time at the beach! The only down side is the resort's location. The buses run to Chania at reasonable times but they don't run anywhere else so a car is essential if you want to explore. The roads are quiet and drivers surprisingly careful, so car hire is not a problem - and there are 2 outlets in the village. The small shops stock just about anything you could want and there is plenty of choice for eating out.

Simple but sparklingly clean apartments. Nice touches like selection of fruit in the 'fridge together with a bottle of retsina. Excellent communications when contacting the hotel direct about late arrival. The location was good - beach close and on the level whereas many of the apartments in Almirida are uphill from the beach. Excellent value for money.

Enkelt hotell som har det man behöver
Har det man behöver, A/C, bra städning alla dagar, trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Det är ett mindre hotell med endast tolv rum, så vissa dagar var vi ensamma vid poolen och andra dagar blev det trängre - finns endast 12 solsängar under parasoll - gäster med ovana att reservera solsängar hela dagen ställer då till trängsel (hände endast ett par dagar). Matservering på hotellet är en enkel poolbar där man kan få köpa lite enklare rätter till bra priser, finns ett flertal restauranger och minimarkets i närheten. Såg inte till någon surfplatta som nämndes i rumsbeskrivningen här.

Var på Niriides i 9 dager i oktober 2014. Riktignok stille periode, men dermed super service - ikke minst på renhold :) Superhyggelig betjening. Riktignok stengt poolbar, men det var jo sent i sesongen :) Kan anbefales!

Замечательный отдых
В июле 2013 года неделю провели на Крите, проживая в этом отеле. Все очень понравилось. Полностью согласны с отзывами. которые оставили другие путешественники, и с которыми мы познакомились перед бронированием. Замечательные хозяева - очень приветливые и внимательные. Удобное расположение - до пляжа не более пяти минут пешком, рядом магазинчики, таверны, пицерия, пекарня, где каждое утро появляется свежий хлеб и другие "вкусности". Вместе с тем удивительное спокойствие и тишина, по утрам слышно (если открыты двери на балкон) как кричат где-то поблизости петухи. Нет проблемы с парковкой автомобиля. каждый день находилось место рядом с выходом с территории отеля. Большое спасибо хозяевам за прекрасные условия для отдыха.
