"We had a lovely stay at this cabin when we came to the area to visit the Green Bank Observatory and hike-- it was spacious with ample room to spread out and relax, and the host had thought of so many details that made our stay perfect (espresso machine? yes!) The house was easy to find and just a minute off the road but was secluded and quiet. The cabin sits in a clearing that offers a big fire pit out front and a huge deck out back and both are perfect for star watching. The mud room was so practical (and large) and would make a good extra room for a remote worker who needed extra quiet. The house looks brand-new but has vintage elements throughout. We enjoyed the kitchen bar and cooking area and then dinner on the deck. The bathroom was well-stocked and pristine, and the bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds.Outside, we were thrilled to find a trail marker showing us a nice walk through the woods along the ridge line. The trail leads right into the Monongahela Nat'l Forest and continued further than we followed it (since we did not have a tracking app turned on, we turned back after 30 minutes).This cabin can sleep a large group comfortably, but also makes a perfect space for a family! We had a lovely stay in the home and look forward to a return visit."

"Overall great value. Outdoor indoor heated pool and hot tub. Room was very clean but a few fixtures were out of order. Very convenient to ski slopes. Funny smell in hallways. Communication with host was OK."

"Emily has been a great host...very accommodating and quick to respond. The house and views are beautiful. The kitchen is well supplied with plenty of dishes, utensils, cups, etc. as well as small appliances, cookie sheets, etc. The coffee bar, with the additional beverage refrigerators were especially lovely and appreciated by our group. The house is conveniently located near the entrance to Snowshoe Mountain but they are not kidding about the 4 wheel drive requirement to reach the house when there is snow/ice on the road so plan accordingly. Thank you, Emily, for an especially enjoyable weekend! "

"We loved the property; there were 6 of us staying for a few day ski trip and celebrating our daughter's 18th birthday. The house is very welcoming, comfortable, and charming. The house was very clean and warm after a cold day of skiing:). We brought in our food which worked out perfectly as there are no real food markets near by. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, the rooms spacious. The location worked well, snowshoe is only 15-20min drive away, and there is a lovely river behind the property with a trail. We loved the Cass store and it's old world charm. The hosts are very responsive and helpful with information about the house and the area. "

"This was our second time to visit and had a blast! Was hoping for a white Christmas but the weather did not cooperate! Our older kids came to visit for a couple of days and there was plenty for everyone to do on-site. The hot tub was a great hit as well! Well anointed kitchen with plenty of blankets and pillows on those chilly nights. The creek flowed higher this time of year which was great to listen to out by the firepit! If you want peace and quiet - this is the place to go!"
