I don't know how this place got the good reviews it's got. Il start with the positives being generous. The sheets were clean, the room was big. That's where my generosity stops. The gentleman "welcoming" us really wasn't a people person. Made it clear he knew about the sticking door to the patio. The door did eventually lock from inside but it was so hard we unlocked it just to make sure we could get out in the morning. The shower was old and mouldy, the clamp to hold the shower head was cracked and wouldn't hold the shower head. The room had an empty almost echoey hollowness to it with no carpet so you felt obliged to step carefully (not that other people seemed to care). Which leads me to the final point, I know you can't control who stays and how they behave, but! A family turned up around 9:15 and let Thier children loose, for over an hour shouting and even one point playing on a guitar that was left in the communal area. This wa our last stop in Ireland before heading home so was getting up early to catch the ferry, wasn't the nicest way to end out amazing trip and didn't reflect the experience we had throughout our 10 day holiday.
