Clerk was very friendly, room was clean. But shower soap/shampoo dispensers were empty or didn’t work. Water from shower leaked past shower door onto the floor. Heater worked great but could have used an extra blanket on bed. Bed was comfortable.
Super basic, an option if motel 6 is booked. No lock on door other than the door guard. No towels provided. Bugs on the floor. Bed appeared clean, microwave and fridge.
This property is misrepresented. It is under new management so maybe they are still working on it, but it should have cost $30 not over $100 to stay there.
Cons: It is an old motel. Door lock opened with a key, very 1970, and there was no way to safety lock from the inside. There was one obviously cheap blanket on the bed, and the furniture looked like it came from the Salvation Army or worse. The messages for guests sounded like they were expecting prostitutes to rent the rooms "only registered guests allowed in the room, others will be removed". The shower curtain was cheap, there were no amenities other than 2 small bars of soap. No hair dryer. I did not feel safe there. There were also dire warnings about extra billing for damages, so I took pictures of the room before I left so no one could say I had damaged anything. The microwave (not sure why there was a microwave) was damaged.
Pros: The staff member who answered the bell did allow me to enter the otherwise locked lobby. He was very polite and also very helpful. I am hoping my credit card was not hacked but so far so good.
There is a reason this is a cheap place. You don't get much. The room I was in had poor water pressure. The shampoo was out. They provided a bar of soap and the body wash dispenser had a little in it. The pillows were thin, but the bed was comfortable. The TV had plenty of channels and the wifi worked ok. I had to ask for the wifi password, though. They did not provide that without asking. Check-in was like any other place. They had actual room keys like it was 20 years ago. In fact, everything about this motel was like Bush had just invaded Iraq for no valid reason. The town is small and seemed sketchy, but nothing happened to me. The key dropped out of my pocket when I was at a restaurant, and someone returned it. The best part of this place is that two doors down is a bakery and restaurant with delicious Mexican food for a decent price. The bakery goods looked amazing, although I only had one churro at breakfast. This is where to get your morning coffee.
