It was a very nice private area. When we got there, it was dark so we had to kind of figure out where we were headed. We stayed in the Pine Lodge. The room was decorated really cute and it was exceptionally clean. My wife said that it’s one of her favorite places that we’ve ever stayed. We met the owners the morning. We were checking out and they were so nice. We would definitely go back there again.

Definitely pros and cons here... It was a neat property, cute rustic feel and very clean. It was also in route to our destination so that was good. The restaurant was nice and the staff was friendly. The parking was well lit and convenient. What we didnt care for was that there was a group of people who pretty much took over the lodge, they stayed in the common area the most of the time (and took all the ice). They were not bad people or anything just overwhelming. There was very little privacy as you can hear through the paper thin walls. Amenities were very limited. It didnt seem like the place was packed on a week night, so if we were in a different area of the lodge (not with the group) it probably would have changed our experience.

Very much enjoyed the Lodge experience. The property is very pretty and well maintained and I appreciated the ease of having the room number and passcode to the room in advance. The food in the restaurant/pub was very good and reasonably priced. The staff we dealt with person were nice, polite, and helpful. I would highly recommend the Foggy Mountain Lodge.

The cabins have a great rustic feel outside but the inside of the rooms are very modern. It was a very conformable stay for the night. The drive to Tree Tops Restaurant is pretty easy so I recommend staying the night here and enjoying a drink at dinner.
