"This was such a pretty boutique hotel! The owner, Harald was amazing- so kind and gracious! My teen daughters and I had been to 4 hotels in 4 days and we all agreed that this room was the best! Everything was clean and modern, and comfortable…and beautiful. Honestly, I thought I had booked right next to the airport (it is a 5 minute drive but would’ve been a 40 minute walk), and considered cancelling when I realized my mistake, but I’m glad I didn’t! "The neighborhood is lovely - quiet, with tree-lined streets and many restored Jugenstil houses - but only two blocks from a streetcar stop with quick connections to the centre of the city. I came to Halle for a special exhibit at the archaeology museum, and was pleased that the Pension was only two tram stops away."

"Be aware that the hotel reception close down at 19:00 and if you haven’t checked-in by then you have to find another place to stay. I travel a lot but rarely see this rigid routine. Normally there is an option to collect your key in a coded box or something after the reception is closed. But okay, fair enough, it’s my mistake to not follow these rules. But no card payment in 2025?! That’s a big drawback which easily can be fixed. You leave it to your guests to spend 30 minutes to find an ATM...
