"It is an amazing location nested among wineries and rolling hills. If you like a quiet and sophisticated location this is your ideal place. You will need a car to move around but, you will be rewarded by the view and the opportunities for wine tastings and small villages visits. "

"Perfect location to explore Siena, right on the Campo. The apartment was warm and comfortable. As to be expected in such a central location, the noise & music from then restaurants on the piazza was loud till the early hours on Saturday night (so bring earplugs) but the other night was fine. "

"Borgo del Cabreo was our favorite place we stayed on our trip to Italy in March. Every detail of the Borgo was thoughtfully curated and is situated in the most beautiful setting in the Chianti region. The rooms and bathrooms were big. The king size bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious in the most idyllic setting. The city center of Florence was loud at night even in March, so coming here was very restorative to my soul. The sounds of nature, birds singing, the idyllic scenary, was a wonderful contrast to Florence. We had the most wonderful dinner and wine at their sister property Pietra del Cabreo. My kids and I would return to Italy just to stay here again. "

"The property looked exactly as shown in the photos—very cute and cozy, with beautiful views from its hilltop location. It is remote and quiet, which was peaceful, though isolated, 3K up a narrow gravel road. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine, and the wine tasting with neighbor Raffaella was a highlight of our stay.Unfortunately, several aspects detracted from our experience. The kitchen cookware was in poor condition—pans were greasy and not properly cleaned, making us wonder about thoroughness. Noise was also an issue; we could hear sounds from the upstairs unit, including flushing toilets, voices, and a young child rolling something around the floor every morning. There was ongoing construction in the parking area that made parking difficult and created significant noise, including jackhammering right outside the bathroom.Wi-Fi was unreliable, with multiple unresolved connection issues. Communication with the host was unpleasant; we received reminders twice to turn off the terrace light, which felt intrusive. On checkout morning, host was waiting outside our door at 9:15, making us uncomfortable and rushed.Adding to our disappointment was an unexpected 65 charge for heating that was NOT in the listing. After discussing it, the host agreed to 50, but this should have been disclosed beforehand. While the location and wine tasting were wonderful, the combination of cleanliness issues, unexpected fees, and intrusive communication made our stay far less enjoyable."
"This beautiful property stole our hearts back in 2019, when my now-wife first visited this magical place. Six years later, we returned — this time to celebrate our wedding reception after tying the knot a few months earlier.
From start to finish, everything was beyond wonderful. A special mention to Sandra, the amazing coordinator who made everything run so smoothly, and her fantastic team — Delfina and the lovely lady (whose name, unfortunately, I’ve forgotten) who graciously welcomed and ushered our guests upon arrival. Every detail was handled with care and professionalism.
The food and Chianti wines during our celebration were absolutely exceptional — truly a highlight that everyone still talks about! The breakfast and dinner staff were attentive, kind, and ensured everything was perfect throughout our stay.
Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with housekeeping doing a fantastic job. We also had the privilege of meeting Mr. John Matta, the owner — such a gracious and inspiring man who leads an extraordinary team.
All of our guests loved their stay, and we left with hearts full of joy and gratitude. We can’t wait to come back again — hopefully for our anniversary next time."
"From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with exceptional hospitality. The staff is outstanding, and we must give special recognition to Ivan and Sanja, whose professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made our stay unforgettable. They go above and beyond in every detail — every smile, every gesture reflects their passion and dedication.
The place itself is magical, a true journey back in time. Every corner is rich with history, charm, and authenticity. The cleanliness is impeccable, and the attention to detail is remarkable. The food is excellent, full of flavor and prepared with love.
Without a doubt, this is the best place we have ever stayed — a perfect combination of beauty, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. We can’t wait to come back!"
"The breakfast was exceptional and the wine tasting was very educational. Ines was extremely helpful on a number of levels! Beautiful property...exceeded our expectations!"
