"Hotel building was older, let's call it quaint but very clean and well maintained. Perfect location, literally 2 minutes walk from the train station and near restaurants and shopping. 10 minutes from Grindelwald -First Gondola. Staff was wonderful, helpful and accommodating. Luggage storage in a locked room. Breakfast included eggs, meats, breads, fruit, yogurt. All in a clean, very nice room. "

"Easy access to and from the train station and central to being able to get access to experience First. The staff was absolutely lovely. The hotel breakfast buffet was excellent with extensive options. Additionally, the hotel restaurant options for dinner with very good. The indoor pool/whirlpool is large and very clean. "

"In staying at 9 different hotels for our 2 week vacation this was our favorite hotel. We took the Gondola up to the hotel and then from there it was very easy to go to Grindelwald 'First' and was very accesible to some great hikes in the area, and then once the Gondola stopped at 6:00 p.m. it became very quiet and peaceful at the hotel. We had the restaurant and the mountain to ourselves for the rest of the night. Although we read many comments discouraging driving up to the hotel, we definitely could have driven up as we had good weather and the paved road is very driveable in the summer. "

"Arrived at the Hotel and the staff could not be more feiendly and helpful. Absolutely beautiful property with a swiss feel. Room was great , indoor pool with Sauna and showers . Restaurant was amazing and probably our best meal in Switzerland. Perfectly located right at the beginning of all the restaurants and shops in Grindenwald. Walk out the door and two minutes you are in the heart of everything. Walked to Grindenwald First as well. Would highly recommend and absolutely stay there again. "
