The room was clean, well air-conditioned and had everything I needed (fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery etc.). The bed was comfortable. Traffic/semi-trailer noise from the highway 500 m away was not a problem. One great feature was that hot water came out of the hot taps immediately, and so you don't have to waste many litres of water waiting for the hot stuff which is the case in most motels. I enjoyed walking around the interesting and well-signed little town of Grong Grong in the fresh early mornings.
A back road of Grong Grong, with lovely red soil. Morning walks were interesting and pleasant. Flocks of galahs were spectacular morning and evening.
The Grong Grong store has interesting bike racks, friendly staff and delicious home made sausage rolls.

Inexpensive. Clean. Mattress ok. Quiet. Easy comms and access late at night via lock box. Basic but perfect for one night stay driving through. Would stay here again.
