Carriage House Hideaway

Perfect hosts and great location. In addition to docking privileges on the Detroit River there is a very private courtyard patio. Great place to relax after fishing!

Great stay!

Was in town for a fishing tournament. This place worked out amazingly. Plenty of parking for two trucks and bass boats. Clean and cozy. The owners were amazing. They would do anything anyone ever could need to make sure their stay is great. Will definitely be back.

Pleasant but Overpriced

The Carriage House APARTMENT was clean and well-equipped. Nicely complimented, clean, and a pleasant enough stay. The apartment sits above an older garage-like structure on the property. Steep attic-style stairs lead to uneven floors with charming decore. The owners were friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable. If the price were right, we'd stay again.

Cancelled rental - my mom could not climb up 14 steps

I have enjoyed several VRBO rentals and paid for big one in Los Angeles area soon The one at Gross Isle Michigan did not work out for me. I planned and took my mother with her walker there, and found out that the rental is upstairs floor with 14 narrow steps to climb up. I did not know it was a floor up with that many steps. I had to leave from the rental immediately with mom and her walker. I messaged the owner and explained - that I left and did not use or stay there. She said she has refunding the payment she received back to VRBO for my rental. May I ask VRBO to verify & refund me for this rental to my credit card. I will continue use VRBO for a lot more trips - please maintain loyal customers who rarely have cancellation from miscommunication about the rental place. Thank you Chak Ranganathan 248 672 4171

Perfect stay for our trip

Property was clean and neat. Stacey had just about everything you could need. It is conveniently located near the expressway so you can get into Detroit. There are many grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay again when we visit the old car show at Greenfield Village.

Beautiful, newly redone carriage house

This carriage house sat back off of the road under a canopy of trees, and was nice and quiet. Everything inside was newly appointed and super clean. The only thing that threw me off was, the listing made it look like this place sits right on the water on this beautiful island, when water access/dock is actually across the street. Would stay again, given the chance

Amazing fishing and perfect Carriage house!

An incredible stay. BEAUTIFUL , CLEAN, PERFECT space. Gorgeous kitchen and bedrooms. Great TV in a wonderful shared space. The fishing and dock are perfect! The owners give the greatest privacy for your visit... and TRULY help make the stay perfect. I can't say enough! Thank you!!

Comfy apartment but not on the water

This was a cozy spot for a weekend getaway, but the thumbnail photo on the listing is misleading. The apartment is located at the back of the property so you can't see the water because of the main house. This is probably fine for most people but we did book our stay looking for nice water views so it was a surprise.

We absolutely loved our brief but beautiful stay at this rental. Impeccably furnished and super comfy with ice cold air ☺️ We order Uber eats seafood from Hooties.... it was delicious!
