"Pros: Clean room, Location was close to what we were doing, Gated parking area and the bar was unexpected positive experience the bar tenter was cool and knowledgeable about Corktown where the hotel is located.
Cons: Small bathroom, Had an outside patio area that we couldn’t use because door wouldn’t open, Wasn’t a fan of the cement floor in our room.
Overall, a positive experience would stay again."
"After a long drive and a late night, we were awoken to a CRASH, and the subsequent hour+ of drilling, to repair a sink that had fallen off the wall. The pool, which my kid was really looking forward to, closes from 11-1 daily for cleaning (why not just do this after the pool closes?), which was most of our available time to swim for this trip. The whole vibe is very backrooms, but it's quaint, and pink, so that's something."
"Have stayed at the same location last Aug and had an enjoyable stay. When i was time to book another trip home I book my stay here. I arrived early and after explaining to the desk clerk i had been up 42 hrs he allowed me an early check in. There was a heavy musky (weed) smell. It maybe the 2 large dispensaries.that are around the hotel. Set room dated the carpet needed to be restreched the water was barely warm in the shower but I didn't care I needed to sleep. Kids in the next room making noise all night. When I left my room in the morning to go get breakfast people had thrown their trash in the hallway. I think this might be a Detroit thing as i've traveled extensively thur the US and Europe and i've never seen anything like this. Only in Detroit. I lived 45 years in Detroit , and i've never seen that. Breakfast over returning to my room, the lady next door open the door out came 6 kids. Then another woman and 4 kids.12 people in one room?? No wonder there was so much noise coming from that room."
"The Manager Darron m, I think and one of the hotel bellman is what encouraged ne to rate this property with a 3 stars. If it wasn't for them I would have given a 1 star. For a 4 star rated hotel much more is needed in room cleaning, bellnan service. We booked because the hotel advised that it offered bellnan service we are both physically challenged my husband more so handicapped- He felt and injured himself trying to pull his suitcase inside. If it wasn't fir the Uber guy assisting us it would have been bear impossible for me injured to get him up. I usually respect the Westin/ Marriott brand so I am hopeful the management would seek to uphold the brand."
