Hotel Marcel New Haven, Tapestry Collection By Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"Okay, not going to lie, when my husband and I pulled up to this hotel I had to double check that we were at the right address. The outside of the hotel looks like it could’ve been an old prison, and it’s literally in the same parking lot as an IKEA and overlooks an express way.
However - don’t judge a book by its cover. This hotel is amazing and probably one of the nicer hotels we’ve ever stayed at. The inside is extremely modern, clean, well kept, and beautiful. The room was spacious and extremely clean. Best bathroom and shower. The room is controlled by a smart device so you can operate the lights, A/C, etc easily. Smart TV has streaming apps. And lots of outlets, USB ports, etc.
Great lobby bar and restaurant as well.
Location about 5-10 minute drive or bike ride (hotel offers free bike rentals) from main New Haven attractions."
"I really like the interior design of the hotel, it offers an antique feeling reflecting the history of the area and Yale University. Very convenient location, close to eating, Yale campus and Yale Art museum. "
"The rooms felt luxurious, with full bath towels, comfortable bed, and extremely clean. We had an issue with the wifi since it didn’t recognize that we were checked it. "
"Had a great time and the staff were amazing. I would love to visit again. From decor, to the clean room, then immersing your taste buds in the restaurant and the service. Thank you team Blake"
