Wonderful place to stay in the historic district. If you like small hotels that feel homey and with lots of character, then you will like this one. Wonderful courtyard and rooftop patio. Great location within walking distance to many sites. Wonderful and helpful owners who clearly work hard to ensure their guests have a good stay.

Area around Casa Jocotenango was safe and clean. The problem I experienced was the opening of their security door since the manager was responsible to use his cell phone to open it but apparently sometimes he would not "hear" or checked his phone, so I'd to wait.

Owner was very accommodating and helpful. we arrived 630 am and since a room was available, he allowed us to check in. He also gave us suggestions on where to eat and places to see. The only problem was the slow drainage in the shower.
