Great private location in the redwoods.

Enjoyed our stay. House was clean, well stocked and close to wineries, the golf course and quick drive to the coast. Loved relaxing in the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Great stay at Lazy Bear

We had a lovely time here! Cozy, big gas fireplace in living room, comfy thick mattresses, nice hot tub. House is in a little hilly neighborhood, but once you’re inside the house you would never know anyone else was around you. The property is beautifully and cleverly landscaped for privacy, and the back of the house backs up to a lush and woodsy hillside. Very green, shady and pretty. Near to town and the redwoods. We would return for sure.

Nice Redwood/Costal stay

This was our first time visiting Guerneville. The town is nice and quaint— cute shops and local restaurants to eat, and only a short drive to the coast with lots of hikes and beaches that were dog friendly. The house itself is gorgeously tucked against the redwood forest. It is a nice modern home with all the amenities you would want. We absolutely loved the deck and hot tub. Property management was quick to respond as our reservation was booked only the day before.

Guerneville Thanksgiving Getaway

The location of this home was amazing, nestled against the redwoods, yet close to the main town of Guerneville. Hosts were responsive when questions arose about the property. Home also had plenty of space for everyone in our party to enjoy being together or to find a quiet space when needed. Kitchen was well appointed and accommodated our cooking needs well. Overall, our group had a wonderful time spending our holiday in the midst of the woods, with easy access to multiple wineries. Very happy to have found this spot!

It was a short drive (or walk) to town and in between town and the armstrong woods. The property manager provided quick reply when we had questions and checkin/checkout was clearly communicated. We visited Armstrong Woods, the community center/Russian river near monte rio, and drove out to Goat Rock Beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean and cozy. There were not enough sheets and pillow cases to make a bed on the futon. There was also an odd assortment of towels for the sixth person. It would be nice to have towels for the hot tub as bringing towels just takes up space and adds weight to luggage. There were ants, mostly in the kitchen, and we kept what food we had put away and the dishes washed after every meal we cooked there. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe. Guerneville was a cute town.

Highly recommend!

We’ve stayed in several rentals in Guerneville but this was one of our favorites to spend time with family. Can’t recommend it enough and hope to be back! Perfect amenities with everything we needed for a great weekend. Well stocked kitchen, cable TV, fireplace, AC/heat, grill, jacuzzi, office with monitor, board games, and plenty of bedrooms and bathroom. Beautiful location in the trees with a nice walking loop in the neighborhood for getting some steps in. Very friendly community. Short drive to town, Johnson’s beach and Korbel. Nice areas both indoor and outdoor to relax. Only wish there was a bit more seating in the living room but we were able to bring some chairs from the other room no problem. Also was confused about where to deposit compost once kitchen bin was full. Booking, check in, checkout and communication with hosts was a breeze. 10/10 Recommend Lazy Bear Losge!

Perfect Getaway

Four longtime girlfriends and I stayed here for three nights to celebrate a birthday. Overall, the stay was perfect. The house is just as advertised, the kitchen was well stocked with details like sharp knives (something you almost never find in vaca rentals!) and enough dishware for everyone. The location is great and close to things like the grocery store. We especially loved the hot tub! The one thing that threw the experience slightly off was the repeated house rules around towels. I know that sounds strange, but it's stated in several places to take care of towels; otherwise, you will be charged. Thankfully, they did warn you to bring your own towels for the hot tub as they are not provided, so we brought a bag of several extra towels that we ended up using for showers and the hot tub. Sounds like the owners might have gotten burned by guests and how they treated the towels in the past! Just bring your own towels and you'll have a wonderful time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My girlfriends and I booked the Lazy Bear Lodge in September. It is a wonderful place to stay. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The deck is amazing with redwoods so close you can touch them. The linen closet was full of cozy quilts to snuggle into during the cool evening air. The deck makes the property. The description of the property is accurate. It does have a very steep driveway but it was easy to master. The property was well maintained. The only complaint we had was the beds were very tall and large for their rooms (in one room, hard to move around) and the sofa is so large, we found it very uncomfortable. Those small things would not keep me from booking again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a nice, newer home in a beautiful redwood setting. It was very clean and well furnished. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. The outdoor spa was also welcome.The common rooms are rather small and the steep and narrow drop in the driveway may be a challange to certain drivers, particularly if they have a larger vehicle and/or the neighbors on either side park their cars too close (as they did during our stay).We also called the property management company after checking in with a question/issue and spoke to Amanda. We never received a call back as promised. Not the end of the world, but worth mentioning.
