More details:
While this property is decently located (close to the shoreline and small town but still need to drive to go to the nicer beaches) and of good size, it is unfortunately not maintained to the standard it should be to be rented out at the price it is rented.
There are no major issue that would make you cancel upon arrival but rather a long list of small things to fix: from the fact that there is no real trash can (paper basket size for a 4 BR house?), to no properly functioning faucet (all broken), to most areas around the pool being broken or close to break/ dangerous, to rain water going directly from the roof into the pool because the gutter is broken, to the towels being extremely old and mildewy (we bought a new set of towels ), to the bath not having a shower curtain, to the upstairs toilets and sink not being fixed properly and wobbly, to the bay windows not closing, to the fridge/ BBQs not being properly clean between tenants (lots of left overs in the fridge including alcohol bottles), to etc etc
The rental also provides no explanation on the functioning of the house beyond what you are rapidly told the first day.
Finally, the swimming pool has no security, which is problematic if you have younger children.
This house could be great with a bit of care and maintenance by the owner. Until then, it's not worth the price.
