We had a lovely large suite that was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. An easy walk to the old town, it provided access to the tourist attractions but the benefit of Aldi having local cafes and supermarkets. We had a great stay

Optimal for stay in Guimaraes

Having had a direct comparison to Stay Hotel in Coimbra, THIS (in Guimaraes) is MUCH better, thanks! Nice room, good and friendly service, silent, everything okay. Good breakfast, attentive staff. The hotel is close to the railway station, yet the Guimaraes old town center is also not far away.

The hotel has a horrible internet service. You can't rely on their internet at all. It works only in hallways, the Staff will tell you there's nothing they can do. The hotel clearly states free high speed wifi. It's not the case. Be careful of false claims

Comfortable bed and bedding. Lots of room for all my toiletries in the bathroom was a plus. Very nice, helpful staff! We couldn't get an uber, or taxi for my train and one of the front desk staff drove us to the station!

Apart for a problem with the toilette (bidet not usable, hotel full, they tried to fix anyway), the stay was as declared, just what needed. Personnel available for further requests. Close to the center of the town, and to some utility shops and supermarkets.

Poor quality, low quality service, ok location

We had two rooms, weekday, for 3 nights, we arrived at 11:30AM and before even greeting us the agent told us checkin wasn’t until 4PM but for a fee she could check us in early. Clearly they had rooms for us, but that’s ok we understand; but her way of approaching us wasn’t nice and the only hotel from a long trip around Portugal that did this to us. We stored out bags and moved on. Later, after we checked in they called us from the front desk asking for payment because they forgot, so we went back to pay. I asked about some wineries recommendations or tours and they told me (3 agents were there) they didn’t have any information. The room was horrible. Mattress was thin about 4 fingers thick on top of a mattress box spring , very uncomfortable. Our room smelt like cigarettes and the window didn’t close well so during the day we had the smell from food cooked in the restaurant below since their vent was just outside of our window. The room was old and not well maintained full of patches on the wall and stains on the carpet. The soap was of poor quality and towels old falling apart. This hotel is not even a 2 star, I’d not recommend it, they are worried about making money with early check ins but don’t care about their rooms or training employees to be caring towards their guests.

Un hotel sin recepción al entrar ,había que subir al 1 primer piso,el estado de los muebles ya tirando a viejos,el desayuno pésimo,había que hacer el zumo uno mismo,teníamos que recoger los platos,de,la comida llegaba a cuenta gotas y poca variedad,ofrecen un abicicleta y tuve que darle yo mismo aire a las ruedas y la bici muy mala,el aire acondicionado fatal,apenas enfriaba.

Alles super... freundliches und sehr hilfsbereites Personal. Das Frühstück war gut, aber nicht überragend. Die Zimmer sind sehr geraümig und das Bett sehr bequem. Aber unter unserem Bett wurde nicht gereinigt. da wir noch überrestem von den Gästen vor uns im Zimmer hatten. Aber ansonsten gerne wieder.

Ich würde definitiv wiederkommen

Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Zimmerservice kommt nur, wenn er gewünscht wird, was ich gut finde. Das Frühstück ist top und die Angestellten sind freundlich. Nur der Zugang zur Tiefgarage ist etwas unkomfortabel. Man muss das Hotel verlassen und die Straßenseite wechseln, um dorthin zu gelangen und man muss jedes mal per Knopf klingeln und über die Fernsprechanlage um Zutritt bitten. Etwas ukomfortabel, aber kein Problem. Die Altstadt und eine große Auswahl an Restaurants sind in 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar und einen Supermarkt gibt es auch direkt gegenüber vom Hotel.

Boa acomodação, mas tive problema de manutenção.

Quarto e banheiro grandes, limpo, boa localização. Pecou no fato de o suporte do chuveiro estar frouxo e de a água do banho ter extravasado para fora do box. Tive que improvisar um frasco de shampoo pequeno por trás da ducha para mantê-la em posição. E usar o tapete do banheiro como rodo para puxar a água para o box. 😖
