The Highlights

Lotus Blossom is a spacious 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath gulf front home in beautiful Gulf Shores. If your goal is to be directly on the beach but you don't need all the extra frills, this home is the perfect fit for you. You'll be right in town so you can take advantage of all the great restaurants and shopping that Gulf Shores offers.

The Space

The open living area features a cathedral ceiling in the living room, 55” smart tv, an ample kitchen and seating for 8 at the breakfast bar and dining table. Outside, the large water front deck offers something for everyone. The sun worshippers can sit on the sunny side, while those who prefer the shade can sit under the cover of the balcony above. There is a Queen bedroom off the living area with a private bath. A half bath with washer and dryer completes this level.

Upstairs, the Queen Master has a private bath with double sinks, 32” smart tv and a private balcony with direct gulf front views. The third bedroom has a Double bed and the 4th has a Double bed as well as a set of Twin bunks. These last two bedrooms share a hall bath. In all, Lotus Blossom will comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests.

Lotus Blossom is just a few miles from numerous restaurants and shops, yet far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle of the busy downtown area. It's an ideal spot for a family vacation and we'd love to share it with you!

We enjoyed our stay! The house is in a very good location just down the strip, yet close to everything. The house was clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed that the kitchen was stocked with many pots, pans, bowls, all that is needed, ect. Their communication with any of my questions was exceptional!! They quickly responded to me and very friendly! The house is a bit dated, but very clean (which was the most important to me!) I feel like the pricing reflected it perfect! I would stay here again.

We had a good stay. It was a great weekend and the house is perfectly located for our needs. The house is dated but most everything worked. We could feel the house move at times which is a strange feeling. We are not sure if that happens due to the stilts or if there is an issue. It was nice to have the walkway over the dunes next door. The only thing better would be to have a private walkway over the dunes. Access and communication was good. The beach was gorgeous and wasn't super crowded. 3 1/2 stars

The location to tbe beach was fantastic. The house needs a little maintenance and updating but the lay out worked great & accomadated our family of 8. We would stay here again.

Great family house

My family and I loved this house! We were so happy to find a home steps from the beach and in our price range. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The first night one of the showers was not draining well, we contacted management and they sent someone to fix it the same day. They were on it! We went in early fall and the street was not busy or loud and we were able to set up on the beach directly in front of the house. Saw dolphins in the morning and a beautiful view of the sunrise/sunset. We plan to visit again!

“No frills” Disrepair

Upon arrival found thermostat set at 67 but temperature reading was 80 inside, no internet and no ability to watch tv and a leaking fridge. Property manager was prompt in responses and communicative but that didn’t fix any of the issues. AC repairman came out that night to refill Freon which promptly leaked out. Went without ac for 5 days. No internet for 4 days. Fridge never got repaired. Got tired of having to complain, got tired of repairmen and issues. They offered us a couple of extra days for free but with work out, uncomfortable beds, hurricane shutters that wouldn’t latch shut keeping us up at night banging in the wind, a ceiling fan that made constant noise, a house that sways with every step, and all of the other issues, who would want to stay longer?! As a consolation prize they refunded 1 night of the rental. Doubtful that even covers my cell phone hotspot usage for the 4 days without internet. At least the next renter will have a brand new ac unit, which is about the only thing in the house from this decade, maybe even this century Location is amazing. House needs way more than just some TLC and updates, it needs a major overhaul. We have visited Gulf Shores/Orange Beach for 11 years in a row, always renting houses directly on the beach so we have seen a lot of what the place has to offer. This one is at the very bottom of the list.

Potential to be GREAT!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Where the house is located you absolutely cant beat it. It literally is steps away from the beach, I've stayed in many houses over the past 15 years for fall break and this home is the closest we have found. Although the spot for the home is perfect, the house needs some work and updating... It was almost like the owners aren't putting anything back into house to make it "homey". We always feel like we are at home and this round we didn't. The flat screen was hung in the living room and the way its positioned you cant even watch it sitting on the furniture. Kinda odd...The floors in kitchen are a beautiful tile but since the house shifts with the wind I'm assuming is why it doesn't stay down correctly and when you walk on it if you aren't careful you will cut your feet in certain places in that area. I had read in other reviews that the house literally moves... It does!!! It is one of those things you have to see to believe and it is quite creepy to be laying in bed and feel your bed moving because the wind is blowing... We got used to it after a few nights and it was fine but it seems dangerous. The kitchen could definitely use some love, there wasn't much to choose from when it came down to cooking. We always cook a couple meals while we are on vacation and it was lacking some of the things we needed. My biggest problem with the house... It was only cleanISH when we got there. The floors were clean but I always go though the drawers and stuff making sure no one left anything anywhere (bc we have 4 kiddos) and look under the beds... I found used plates in the dresser, water bottles, cups with something growing in whatever was being drank in night stands... It was kind of gross! We always try and leave the house the way we found it .... But I've never had to clean it when I arrived.... The management company was great and easy to work with, we will definitely use them in the future. With some updating we would stay here again because its so close to beach!

Reviewer Comments: My family and I escaped to the beach for Thanksgiving and had a enjoyable time. We had no problem accessing the unit and found it to a little outdated but very spacious. There was a little concern about the lock on the door and it appeared to need some repair but we used the back door. We enjoyed being on the beach. It was a good trip for all of us.

Lotus Blossom

Overall a great horse right on the beach with spectacular views. The house did not have a functioning ice maker. We had to purchase ice daily. There was not a TV in every bedroom. The refrigerator leaked water occasionally. Other than those few things it was a great beach house. My family enjoyed being able to sit on the deck and watch the sunrise’s and sunset’s each day! We can’t wait to visit Gulf Shores again!

Sugar sand beach

We had a fantastic time at the Lotus Blossom. The house was clean & comfortable. The location was fabulous, directly on the beach. We had read reviews so we knew to bring our own chairs for the deck area & beach. It was perfect for our family and we hope to return soon.

Location was the only saving grace

When booking this rental we knew it wouldn’t be “fancy” and we don’t need fancy. We paid A LOT of money for this rental due to it being directly on the beach. The location was amazing however the home needs completely gutted and redone. I wasn’t expecting fancy however when you walk in and the tile floors are cracked or coming up in spots, the shower heads barely work, there’s appliances in the kitchen with an out of order sign on it, beds in guest rooms were very uncomfortable, and not to mention our first day there when we pulled into the driveway the trash can was completely over flowing with trash even on the ground next to the can, the smell was horrendous when we got out of our car due to said trash. There’s a lot of potential at the property however the home needs a completely gutted overhaul on it and needs A LOT of tlc. Also, the ad for the house doesn’t mention that the walkway for public access to the beach is right next to the house so there were people walking basically in your yard at all hours of the day and it was very noisy. While we made the best of our stay our family will not be returning and will be staying somewhere else going forward.

Love this house and location but Please do some updating

We have stayed In this house multiple times over the past several years and the location and size are perfect for our family…we have loved it but it just keeps getting worse when it comes to cleanliness and things needing to be fixed. Some of the lights did not have bulbs in them like the ceiling fans in bedrooms. The blender had a big crack in it and someone just put scotch tape over it. The ceilings fans and the outlets had a lot of dust on them and there was so much food under the couch. The beds are awful. The box fan they have was broken. Nothing has been updated in the years we have stayed there. We hope they take this review and just maybe fix a few things and update a little because we love the location and home.

It did the trick but had some issues that need fixed

The house is right on the beach with a great view. However, we traveled with a crawling baby, and this house is not recommended for the elderly or babies. The tile floor is cracking, exposing sharp pieces. We moved the living room rug to lie on top due to a sock getting snagged. We were afraid of our daughter's leg getting cut. There were MANY exposed nails and screws that need hammered back down on the deck stairs and the board walk under the stairs. My husband had one cut his foot. The cleaning process must be super quick because there was a condom wrapper under the couch... The communication from the manager is very great, though.
