We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the "Lucky Dog" beach house. The house was clean and fresh smelling. We took our fur babies with us and they enjoyed it as well. The fenced back yard was definitely a plus. The location of the house relative to the beach access was very close. Even with the house being one row back from the beach, we were able to enjoy time on the deck with a view of the water and all the beach sounds. The neighbors were very friendly. The beds were comfortable. The linens were soft and smelled clean. The only negative I have to mention was that there were a lot of bulbs out, over the vanity in the master bath as well as in the dining/kitchen areas. We would stay here again.

Fantastic pet getaway!

We had a very nice time at the lucky dog - Having a fenced in yard was a huge plus! Quiet area, very close to beach access, and communication with Lisa was fast and easy. Hope to stay here again soon!

My dogs loved their stay.

My partner, dogs, and I loved Lucky Dog. The fenced in area under the house offered a secure place for our dogs to play as well as a nice area for us the sit and enjoy. Morning coffee on the balcony enjoying the partial gulf views was the highlight. Other than a couple houses across the street are being worked on, the area is peaceful. We are looking forward to booking again in the future.

Wonderful home and yard

We spent 3 nights at this lovely dog friendly home just steps from the beach. The large fenced in yard was so nice for our pup! The home was very nice and the bed comfortable. The deck has views of both the gulf and the bay! We only wish we could have stayed longer! Very well equipped for both of us as well as our dog!

This was the most enjoyable beach vacation I have ever experienced! We were able to bring our dogs which meant a lot to us. The fenced in backyard area made it so much easier and the screened in patio was amazing! My family and I will definitely return!

Another great beach trip

This was our second stop at Lucky Dog, and we’ll likely be back. It’s a great place with our dog, the beach is steps away, and the view from the deck for morning coffee is spectacular. Our host Lisa has always been responsive and helpful. Bring your blanket and surf fishing gear and settle in.

We were all lucky.

We had a wonderful time at Lucky Dog. The location was great - although it was not on the beach, we could easily see the ocean from the two decks. When the sun was hot, it was nice to have the screened-in porch to cool off. Our dog felt welcomed with all the toys, beds and bowls available to him. The beach allowed well-behaved dogs to enjoy themselves. Lisa, the owner, was quickly accessible to us and promptly had VRBO correct the location on the website. The kitchen was well stocked. We will be back!

Very relaxing!

Kitchen well stocked - roomy house, loved fenced yard for dogs, peaceful neighborhood, away from clutter and high rise condos, but close enough to Gulf Shores for groceries. Good selection of books and games and television options. We plan to go more often now that we have found a truly dog-friendly place.

Lovely home

Home was great! Not too far from beach access walkway. Back, fenced yard wasnt as secure as I would like but my pups did fine. Plenty of room. Beds were comfy.

Family Getaway

This was our second time staying here. Love this house and location and the fact that it’s dog friendly! We always travel with our dog and this house is perfect for that. It has everything needed for a fun and relaxing vacation for both people and pets. So close to the beach too. Access is right across the street and the beaches are clean and never crowded. Easy booking and great communication with the owner. Would love to visit here again.

Beach Getaway

Perfect Place for a Lucky Dog!

Lisa and The Lucky Dog are both absolutely phenomenal! She was so kind and helpful and the beach house was better than we could ever imagine! We celebrated our dog Apollo’s 10th birthday at it and he had the time of his life! He didn’t want to leave and neither did we!! It was the best weekend for this family whose world revolves around our 4 leg child! We will definitely be back and staying here again asap!!

The name of this wonderful house says it all!

Our week there made us all feel like we were the "Lucky Dog", and I'm not talking about our pets, who by the way, had a blast! The house is beautiful and and so comfy and homey. I love the screened in porch, such a great space! Fresh seafood nearby, we used the grill almost every night! We all loved "Lucky Dog"

Great week at Lucky Dog

Love the location and the house, particularly the screened porch and the area underneath the house for grilling and a place to lock up bikes. Look forward to the renovations coming soon per the owner, would like to stay here again. Our border collie loved the fenced-in area to play ball. We brought and enjoyed riding our e-bikes in the area, some great trails alongside Ft. Morgan Road closer to Gulf Shores and several in Gulf State Park.

Summer vacay

The open family room and kitchen made our time together enjoyable. Some could read, some cooked, some sat on deck - it was a perfect gathering place for us with our adult kids. Beach access was so convenient and we loved the remote location. It was quiet and peaceful. We could drive to Gulf Shores to eat or shop then return to no crowds. It is was what a vacation should be.

Very relaxing beach cottage - for people and dog!!!

I brought my elderly mother and her little Malti-poo to Lucky Dog and and the beach and it was just perfect for us all! I was nervous as have NEVER stayed anywhere that allowed dogs and have a bit of OCD (brought my own vacuum!). Lucky Dog is clean, organized, full of books, flowers, and comfy reading chairs, and the perfect place to just relax! Thankyou so much for allowing us to come into your lovely beach house, we will be back!!

We loved the Lucky Dog!

This beach house was so homey and comfortable! It was the perfect set-up for my family. The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were large. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. The screened in porch was a definite bonus and one of my favorite spots. The set-up for our dog was perfect and we never had to worry about him getting out of the house or yard. The location was great with an easy walk to the beach. Perfect spot, lots of space

The house is a little dated, but that’s not what we travel to Fort Morgan for. We are there for the beach and the location of this property can only be beat by the houses directly on the water. The house itself is large and open concept which was great for us. The space under the house is spacious too. I know the fence was for dogs, but it was also nice for helping corral my 23 month old. We really enjoyed the deck and screened in porch (especially for the rainy times). I was a little disappointed in the way previous guests had left a few things. People need to appreciate the property they are getting to use.

Perfectly Pet Friendly

We traveled with our pets and found this property was truly pet friendly and even more comfortable than we'd imagined based on the web site. The owner was very pleasant and easy to contact when questions came up. About half of the area on ground level under the house was fenced and joined the fenced back yard which was thankfully free from sandspurs and very convenient for our dogs. From dog toys, pet beds and spare leashes to interesting books, board games and kitchen supplies, the owner had thought of what we and our pets might need to make our stay even more enjoyable. The screened porch upstairs was accessible from the main bedroom and was just what we needed if mosquitos showed up as the sun set. We found the property to be clean, comfortable,and nicely decorated although in need of a little TLC here and there. The kitchen was roomy and well stocked. This a good, cozy, light-filled home away from home. We enjoyed the layout and location with easy beach access just across the narrow street and look forward to a return trip.
