This completely renovated 2 bedroom home is the perfect place to relax. Located on the historical Mobile Bay approximately 2 miles from the actual fort at Ft Morgan, Alabama. You'll be so pleasantly surprised at the delightful cottage, that has amazing space and sleeping accommodations for 5. You'll enjoy a king size bed in the master bedroom with an attached bathroom. The second bedroom boasts of a twin over full bunk to accommodate children or adults alike.
You'll enjoy cooking meals or just preparing beach snacks in the fully furnished kitchen with all new appliances. There is no icemaker in the refrigerator. There is a large 65" tv on the wall in the living room. The views, fishing, and relaxing are what this Reel house is all about.

This home is pet friendly. SMALL DOG ONLY, no larger than 25lbs. The following breeds are prohibited by the association by-laws: Doberman, Rottweiler, Chow, or Pit Bull. No other pets allowed. Please call the office to book a pet friendly property.

Lovely quiet and chill place in the bay

This stay was perfect for the girls to get away! It would also be great for a family vacation with pets. Nice beach. The house was very clean, kitchen was well equipped to cook. Beds were comfortable. We will be coming back.

Not so peaceful retreat!

Pictures show a relaxing little cottage but little did we know they were building 2 houses right next door. Workers were there from early morning to late night, hammering, drilling and making a lot of noise. The peaceful retreat was far from it! The house being built next door is approximately 10-15 feet away, so very close. The cleanliness of the house was questionable also. Seems there were several spills and stains throughout the house. Kitchen counters had a spill of white goo??? No I would not recommend this house unless you had very low expectations!

Construction noise was unexpected.

The house was great and the process was easy but we had no idea that construction was occurring right next door. Starting bright and early every day there was construction noise all day long. It made time on the porch not enjoyable. It was not a relaxing get-away as we had hoped. I just wish it had been disclosed so I could have made an informed decision.

Family vacation

The house was beautiful. The view from the porch of the bay was absolutely stunning. We were close to a public beach access (was a little walk,but that’s ok). My son loved fishing off the private dock. House was very well stocked in the kitchen. My only concern was the grass. It was knee high and never cut the whole time we were there. I even texted the property management on the first day. My grand kids kept getting thorns in their legs trying to walk to the house

We enjoyed our stay tremendously here. Very quiet and peaceful. The condo was just as advertised and it was simply spotless when we arrived. The vacant lots on both sides of the condo is a blessing and irritation. They could use some yard work done because the grass is super high and since we brought our fur baby it was a little stressful being that close to such high grass. Otherwise, everything was perfect! Great quiet neighborhood, easy walk to the beach across the street and the oyster floats in the bay are interesting to watch. While we were there they were emptying the floats and the amount of oysters from each float was simply amazing. Tacky Jack's and Sassy Bass Pizza is super close as well so that was very nice :) Hope to stay again soon.

I think in the future....the grass and sand burs need to be address because with pets and even people that is an issue. Also, the TV was awesome but football season is upon us and there needs to be a notation that the service is APP BASED so you can be prepared to have passwords and info on hand. Otherwise a beautiful property and location to TACKY JACKS and beach is very close. Sunset properties are great to deal with and very accommodating....will definitely use them again for my next getaway!!!!

Modern and Cozy

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cute house is on Mobile Bay, about three miles from Ft. Morgan and the ferry. It has been recently completely rebuilt from the original deck up, and all appliances are top of the line and new. Wi-fi and smart TVs work well in the main room and bedrooms. Bedrooms are small but have really large and comfy beds. A new seawall extends out into an inlet of the bay, with a new dock that is great for fishing. Water depth is 3-4 feet. We caught croaker, pinfish, catfish and other species during our stay in early May 2023. Out in front of the dock are floats that support an oyster farm. The unit is quite private, with vacant lots on either side. Two cons are that it could use an outdoor grill, and only small cars can park under the house due to its low height (6 feet). Sunset was easy to work with and we were in touch by text during the stay. Would recommend for several couples or a family with a few kids.
