This home was perfect! We will stay here again! Backyard felt so private. Trees blocked view of homes next door. I swam laps in private pool each morning (short laps and I swam pool diagonally, but still was able to get my swim in). Beach was about a 3 block walk. If you have people in your party that can’t make the walk, you could drop them off at beach access point. Beach was amazing and felt like we had it all to ourselves. This beach allows dogs (most don’t) and is only for residents or guests of this small beach subdivision. I could see other people on beach, but they were so far away, I couldn’t hear them if I tried. Beach was clean, free of debris, with white, squeaky sand. Seriously squeaks when you walk on it. We were about 16 from the heart of Gulf Shores. Each day we spent pretty much the same way. In the morning, My husband would run the subdivision and I would swim. We would head out for a drive, explore, shop in Gulf Shores. Head back and hit the beach and then once we had enough sun, would go to the pool (which by 4 is pretty shaded). Then we would get cleaned up (love the huge walk-in showers) and head to dinner. Recommend the Sassy Bass like a mile from the house (great live music) and Tacky Jacks 2, a few miles away (great view of the bay and the “Bushwacker” drink is recommended!) Learned quickly that if you don’t want to wait in line at any restaurants, best time to get there is before 6pm. After 6, everywhere we went filled up. After dinner, we would head back to the house and hang out on the screened-porch. Could hear the frogs and cicadas and waves. Would take our dog for a long walk after sun was down and go to the beach. Overall, great stay!! Great for us and our dog. Perfect location if you want to get away from crowds. We are now spoiled after this beach. It really felt like our private getaway. Took us 11 hours to get there from home and was worth every minute.
