property was in perfect location loved the quietness, totally off grid was so cool, nice new home great seating in lounge & Dining, awesomely comfy beds tv in every room was sick, the whole set up was great wouldnt hesitate to go there again, owner was nice and help[ful and is doing more improvemnets to the place cant wait to see it all done, with basketball court and out kitchen he mentioned, cant wait to see what he has in mind for his guests, 4.5 stars

Holiday/work

Just 3 of us stayed which meant there was enough room to set up a portable in one on the bedrooms and work from “home” for the week. Quiet, comfortable, warm and the yard was big enough for 2 Jack Russell’s to remain occupied and safe.

Have stayed at both The Grove & The Ridge previously but wow the new place is stunning. Love that most rooms open into the verandah & we noticed some great light fixtures in the living area. Would be happy to go back in any season.

Relaxing stay

We had a nice relaxing stay in a newly built house. Very spacious, very clean, and river just over the road if you like fishing. Our doggies had a great time with the cows behind the fence, left them worn out! Only down side were all the flies and bugs outside. We went in April so maybe a different time of year would be better.

Easter stay

The new house is a real touch of luxury.The aspect of the house is positioned so you have an amazing view of the creek from the swivel couch in the loungeroom.I miss the old house as we have been coming to gunny every year for about 14 years.However it's really nice to enjoy our experience in a new very comfortable home.It is honestly the best way to de-stress and reset the batteries.Thanks sean

Had the most peaceful, relaxing stay at The Ridge. It has just what you need for a little getaway and loved the location, peace and quiet. The oranges and lemons that were at the house were incredible! Will be back for sure!

A rustic retreat

The Ridge was something a little bit different for me, but it gave me everything that I needed - a comfy bed, a comfy couch, hot water and all of the other neccessities for basic food preparation and getting away from it all. The location is ideal if you are looking for some peace and quiet. The host was also excellent to deal with. I recommend this accommodation, so long as you're not looking for anything too fancy. I will certainly go back there at some stage.

The guy who owned it was very nice, the house was old and very run down, the sheets had yuk stains on them the towels were soo old , the water stunk and was yellow. Dogs keps getting out of the yard, the water near the house couldnt fish in as thats the only reason we chose this place :( the pub close by was amazing food and staff. Few pages had been ripped out of the guest review book, couches were comfortable though

Serenity Plus

A beautiful property that really provided a super relaxing stay. The location is excellent, with sweeping views of lush farmland and directly across from the property we woke up to the views of the Creek and wildlife everywhere. Out the back of the property the cows popped up to say hi. The fenced dog yard is excellent. The kayaks are great and there is a beautifully mowed path right by the creek for fishing or just sitting and reading a book. Check-in was easy and the fireplace had been lit to take the chill out of the air. Very neat and tidy farmhouse with comfy beds and a very cozy lounge area. It is only a 3km walk to the local Cafe and Pub. The Cafe is amazing with all food made fresh onsite and the pies are delicious! The Pub meal was pretty good as well.

Grandkids loved the new basketball court and loved paddling on the lagoon. Our dogs love this home, they are allowed inside, the outside areas are all flat with visiting cows up to the fully fenced yard. Fabulous location across a small dirt road to the lagoon.

Perfect piece of tranquil paradise. The house is bright, with a relaxed vibe that has everything you need. Comfy beds and an amazing swivel chair in the living room. The grounds were well maintained with secure fencing for children and dogs. The basketball court, archery and having the river across the road to fish means you can park the car and disconnect and relax. Sean was great to communicate with and checkin was easy. Loved it, will definately be back.
