"Rooms are clean, but very small. Even the deluxe room we rented for additional money was quite small •⁠ ⁠WIFI was basically dysfunctional in the room. Would connect but no bandwidth - maybe someone else was hogging the net, but for us it was Dysfunctional •⁠ ⁠⁠the breakfast is very very marginal. for koreans there is ramen soup. Some fried sausages and some tomatoes. Some bread, butter, and jelly. Nothing else. For westerners there are 2 frying pans and raw eggs. Nothing to really make an omlette. No knives to cut some tomatoes or the sausage…. •⁠ ⁠⁠no tea at breakfast, just coffee. •⁠ ⁠⁠breakfast area is like a kitchenette in a small apartment - ineffecient and crowded. • at the buffet there is always something missing - either bread or sausages. • Insted of a larger kitchen there is a 2 huge TV projection system running k-pop 24/7 . •⁠ ⁠⁠Korean breakfast staff does not speak English at all - nothing. •⁠ ⁠⁠The highlight are the Philippino staff who speak the best English in the whole staff. They are kind and helpful. •⁠ ⁠⁠towels in the bathroom are smaller than standard US hand towels. •⁠ ⁠⁠No tea in the room •⁠ ⁠⁠AC usage requires Korean language skills. We could not make it work the first night and got almost stifled. My wife had to leave the room in the middle of the night to catch fresh air. •⁠ ⁠⁠ •⁠ ⁠⁠Don’t be misled by the name Giverny and expect something special •⁠ ⁠⁠Our room upgrade was definitely not worth it"

"Staffs are polite & helpful. Breakfast is OK. Room is clean but lacking amenities. We had to go out to buy toothbrushes & toothpaste. A/C control seems not working well. Seems like A/C is automatically adjusted by itself instead of adhering to manual settings. "

"This Hotel has a perfect location by the lake - it is a very quiet and green and relaxing area. If the weather is good, you can take a long walk around the lake and enjoy the incredible scenery. If you do not have a car, there is a bus stop near by and taxis are plentiful. Use Uber app to order and it takes 2-3 min for car to pick you up. Room is spacious, clean and bed is very comfortable. Lots of major attractions near by and within a short ride from hotel. Would stay there again. "

"Wow ... we had an amazing 2-night experience at Soi Hanok. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated with all the modern amenities that you need (microwave, fridge, TV, wireless speakers, shower, heated bidet toilet, heated flooring and air conditioning). The bed was super comfortable. The courtyard was beautiful, peaceful and quiet - we actually rented hanboks and did a photoshoot in the courtyard. The host, Sue, was fantastic in greeting us and giving us recommendations. She was so kind in offering us complimentary Korean breakfast. Remember, some of the windows and doors are made of paper layers so sounds will easily travel but all the neighbors in the other units were very respectful by staying very quiet throughout our stay. Loved our stay."

"The first hotel with working air con during our whole China and South Korea trip. Hotel sites say they have it but they don’t tell you it’s not used during low season, even if it’s 28 degrees outside . Lovely helpful front desk, they do stick to 4pm check in, so be aware, but the rooms are clean and the beds comfy. Fresh water daily, no sugar so take your own along with coffee bags if you need coffee in your room. Great uber taxis, cheap and reliable."

"Loved this place! A bit of a walk from the bus terminal but easy to find. Super close to the main tourist street but also very secluded and quiet. The room was perfect for a solo travel. Bed was very comfortable. Amenities include K-beauty face and eye masks! Bathroom is a typical Korean style bathroom (no tub and floor drainage) but slippers are provided. There were other rooms with tenants but a strict sound policy so it is really quiet. The host prepares a simple breakfast with really good coffee. The name of the place translates to “pleasure cozy house”, and it is a perfect description of the place. Would definitely recommend if staying in Gyeongju."

"The shower setup was the stupidest that I have ever seen. It was not enclosed, so the water went end up all over the floor. Also, there were no switches near the beds to control the lights so you would have to get out of bed turn off the lights and climb back into bed in the dark."

"Location is a 10 minute walk to intercity bus station and 15 minutes to the historical area and tomb parks. The room was surprisingly quiet for the central location. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious with very good climate control. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was adequate. It was free and easy to park our rental car. Overall, it was a great choice if not staying in a hanok in the historic village."
