We were looking for a cheap but acceptable place to spend one night in Haifa with a short time to plan things. The place is in a terrible area, and is a very old building that has been "renovated" (the only renovated thing is the bathroom I believe, and to a very simple and odd construction, with the bathroom being literally in the balcony (open) and a window to the room). We asked for two non smoking rooms, and since there are non, we got to a room with the smell of a place where there have been people smoking at least 50 years, so that was not fun.
The room itself is pretty clean and it had one double bed and 1 single.
The fact that there are rooms whith no bath room and that some people have to literally share bathroom + the general installations makes the hotel a real 1 or maximum 2 stars hotel, but in no way 3, more like an old "renovated" hostel.
We had a bad experience with one receptionist called Colin, who was very rude at the time of check in and made the process very uncomfortable, very arrogant, and later on in the middle of the night (12:00 AM) called me to complain that I was blocking all the spots in the parking lot (which of course was not true). It's the very first time that a staff that represent a place where I pay to "rest through the night" disturbs my "vacation night" with a phone call, complaining of something not exactly true, very insolent.
in my point of view it's ok for a group of young people not older than 23 yo, and PLESE don't bring your wife.
