Great staff. We arrived prior to check-in and left our luggage with the front desk and they delivered the bags to the room before we arrived. Extremely convenient to JR Hokuto Station. Great ramen at on-site restaurant on first floor.

Great location, right next to the train station with shops nearby. Nice but small onsen and friendly staff. Only complaint was that certain areas did smell like cigarette smoke. Otherwise excellent stay.

Very quiet and rather remote area if you like that kind of environment. It’s over 20+ kms to get to Hakodate so if you have a JR Pass, the transport is covered, otherwise you will have to pay for the train trips to and from Hakodate. The hotel is fine, clean and functional, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is just next to the railway station.

Stay by the Shinkansen

We stayed here when travelling between Sapporo and Tokyo. Not tattoo friendly. TV did not work. Not one channel. Lots of lights in room at night. Breakfast was excellent with wide choice of foods. Good for me was scrambled egg, fish and the fruit with yoghurt. Orange juice was great.

Perfect start to Hokkaido

Perfect stop over for the start of our trip to Hokkaido. Close to the Shinkansen terminal, and very easy to get in to Hakodate. The staff were very curtious. Would recommend staying here if you are traveling from afar to start your trip in Hokkaido.

Nothing beats being right next to the Shinkansen station—it made my entire stay super smooth. I could sleep in, book trains easily, and never had to deal with lines at other JR offices or stations. The reception area is spacious and welcoming, with vending machines, water, and amenities. The room had a nice, clear view and, best of all, it was incredibly quiet—I didn’t hear a single train the whole time. Perfect for a restful and hassle-free stopover.

We stayed here overnight on a last-minute basis having missed our train at the adjacent Shinkansen station. The hotel room was fine, nothing fancy. We did not have time to try the onsen. The hotel restaurant was closed for dinner, but there was a local tavern nearby which had pretty good food. We did not have the hotel breakfast.

The property is literally next door to the Sin Hakodate train station, awesome. We arrived early left our bags and went into Hakodate, when we returned our bags had been taken up to our room. Great friendly, happy service.

Convenient for the Shinkansen

Shin-Hakodate is mainly a train station with very few other things and facilities around. This hotel is very conveniently located right next to the Shinkansen train station. The hotel restaurant served a few dishes and was open until 10 pm. We enjoyed a very nice and tasty ramen. The station area has a conbini with coffee and bento boxes if you have an early departure and skip the hotel breakfast (like we did),
