Enjoy the most stunning views of scenic Sage Lake from inside and outside of this beautiful home.

Sunsets worthy of being painted are the reality of every evening and can be soaked in while preparing dinner after a beautiful day on the 785 acre award winning all sports Sage Lake. The lake was topped Torch Lake as the top inland lake in the lower peninsula according to a news poll found here:
https://www.mlive.com/michigansbest/2021/05/surprise-winner-tops-torch-lake-for-michigans-best-inland-lake-in-northern-michigan.html.

Unobstructed views of the lake’s beautiful 3 islands, boundless nature including beavers, loons, foxes, eagles and more abound from the open concept kitchen/dining/living room as well as the expansive 2 tier decks with comfortable patio furniture and grill. An optional 22 foot newer pontoon boat is available for an additional cost. Many lake amenities are included with your stay including a giant swim lilly mat which children enjoy for endless hours, several kayaks, and stand up paddle boards.

The home is built on a hill and some stairs are required to descend to the lakefront area. A large childrens sandbox is available to entertain kids next to the lake. The actual lakefront is a seawall with a few steps down into a firm and very nice sand lake bottom. The sandy area extends several hundred feet into the lake and is perfect for your enjoyment. Bring a few lake floats to tie up to friends/family and relax!

In the evening sit back and relax in the adirondack chairs around the firepit area where children can enjoy s’mores, giant connect 4, giant jenga, and other included games while the adults face off in cornhole. For chillier days heat up in the infrared sauna before taking a plunge in the lake. Other upgrades and amenities are coming soon possibly including a hot tub, panoramic bubble sauna, lakeside tiki hut, blackstone grill, hammocks, and more.

When the weather is not cooperative the home is as comfy as home with leather furniture, smart tvs, inviting gas indoor fireplace, high speed internet, a fully stocked kitchen, cable tv (inquire prior to booking), and comfortable seating for all guests in 2 separate living rooms, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. 2 full bathrooms include soap, shampoo, conditioner, and bath towels.

What to bring:
S’more ingredients!

Lake/Beach Towels
Telescope for stargazing!

Good Experience
Property was good overall and the next door property managers were super helpful and attentive. We rented the pontoon boat and enjoyed using it. The stairs/decking to the water were in need of repairs. There were screws popping out, retaining walls collapsing and many supports starting to lean.

Family Get Together
First of all, Adam is the best host we have ever dealt with and we have been staying at VRBO's for over 10 years. He is accommodating and extremely timely in his responses. We had 3 couples and another family member and we had more than enough room. This house is perfect for get togethers because the lower level has a living room, full bathroom, with a large sectional couch and TV with 3 bedrooms downstairs. It is perfect if people have different activities going on. The ground floor has 1 bedroom plus another full bathroom. The large living room also has a large sectional with additional comfortable chairs so everyone can be together if they would like to. The kitchen overlooks this large living room which allows great communication between people in the kitchen and the living room. A lot of trouble that we have found staying in VRBO's is that they will sleep large groups of people however their living room seating cannot accommodate such sizes; this is not the case with this house. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook with as well as a full sized coffee maker. The laundry is also on the first floor. The walk down to the dock is not for the faint of heart. There are a lot of stairs, but it is well worth it when you get to the bottom. The lake is huge and beautiful. Adam made renting the pontoon a breeze and there were so many areas on the lake to fish. There are 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards to use. We didn't use the fire pit, but it was right outside the basement walk out sliding doors. The deck off the ground level offered million dollar views of the large lake and came equipped with a large gas grill, a patio set enough for 6 guests, and another seating area for 4 people. There was a TV in every bedroom which was great if you needed some space as well as a TV in the downstairs living room. For being in a remote area in Michigan, the Internet was surprisingly excellent. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of blankets. TONS of pillows and towels. We will be happy and will look forward to staying here again.

Michigan Family Trip
Had a wonderful family lake get together. This house has the best view of Sage Lake. Morning coffees, grilling in the evening plenty of propane. Firepit downstairs after dinner. A well-stocked clean house of towels, TP, kitchen towels, laundry detergent etc... Beds and pillows very comfortable and new. Water area by dock is sandy and can hang out there or at the sandbar. Evening boat rides. We will be back soon!

Overall Great!
This place was perfect for our large group! All the bed-rooms are equipped with 2 beds and a small portable toddler bed. There were plenty of clean towels, fully equipped kitchen and very clean. I loved the little touches like extra wall hooks for hanging stuff. Host was super responsive and the property managers very attentive. Overall a great place!

Family gathering
Long weekend get together with family and friends. We had 16 people, adults and teenagers, the house fit us comfortably. Lots of fun on the lake with kayaks and paddle board. It’s a good idea to rent the pontoon to get the true Sage lake experience. A very memorable vacation.
