Located on a gated acre in the heart of Sunset Beach on Oahu’s North Shore. The cottage is 1000 feet (.2 miles) from Sunset Beach and is a short walk or bike ride to Banzai Pipeline, Waimea Bay and Shark’s Cove. The cottage is 40 minutes to downtown Honolulu and Waikiki.

Fantastic getaway!

We loved the openness of the layout and all the amenities were fabulous! The kids loved taking the bicycles down to the beach. I would definitely stay here again. We still can’t get over how beautiful the whole setting was, the outdoors was gorgeous. We spent a lot of time in the hammock and on the porch.

Family Birthday Trip in Paradise

Our stay at the Sunset Beach Cottage was nothing short of wonderful! The location of the cottage was perfect for a short walk or bike ride to the beach and we used the beach supplies that were provided!Yuki was also a knowledgeable and attentive host and it was truly a blessing to stay at her property! We will be back to stay again for sure.

A beautiful cottage near one of the finest beaches on Oahu

We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. Sunset Beach is now our favorite beach on the whole island, and it's within easy walking distance. The cottage itself is perfect for a couple or a small family. It's spacious, very well-appointed, and clean. There's a huge lawn where kids can play. At night, you can hear the ocean and the peaceful sound of nature all around. It's a place we'd enjoy returning to year after year.

Lovely North Shore Hideaway

Beautiful relaxed spot on the North Shore opposite Sunset Beach. Yuki was super helpful and gave excellent clear instructions for getting to the place and also some great dinner recommendations. Would definitely stay there again.

Property is amazing - had every thing we needed and more! Walking distance to sunset beach - absolutely beautiful. Have done the stressful Waikiki stay many times - this place was exactly what we needed - very relaxing with all the amenities of home. Host feels like a friend :)

The perfect place

This was the perfect place to fulfill our north shore dream. We both surf and got the opportunity to finally surf Sunset. Yuki’s property was the icing on the cake, it really was perfect. A gorgeous place, fully equipped and comfortable. Yuki was absolutely lovely and a wonderful host. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful time and the cottage exceeded our expectations. Excellent location. We are a family of four with our children being in college and last year in high school. There was plenty of room for all of us. We will definitely plan to stay here again if we have the chance.

Amazing location and accommodations

We had the absolute best stay! The house was perfect and so comfortable. It is absolutely as pictured! I would stay here a million times again! The owners were very helpful in helping us plan out specifics for things we wanted to do and places to go! I am sad we are no longer there! The house was located in a beautiful neighborhood and a short walk to the beach! It was truly perfect!

Just dreamy

This home was just so perfect for our family of 4. Home was just lovely - clean, spacious, with comfortable beds, lush towels, hammock on the porch, outdoor dining, huge garden - really everything to make a vacation relaxing. Great location in a quiet safe neighborhood but walking/biking distance to the beach bakery and more. Yuki is an attentive kind host and great communicator too.

Family Vacation

This property was paradise, we didn't want to leave. The home is secluded and beautiful, updated, and so comfortable. It was impeccably clean. Our young adult daughters had a blast riding bikes to the local food stands, and we all enjoyed the 5 minute walk or bike ride to the gorgeous Sunset Beach. Yuki was an absolute pleasure to work with. We absolutely plan own being back.

Private paradise

Yuki’s place creates the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. We woke up to the sound of the ocean, and birds, every morning. We sipped coffee from the deck shaded by a mango tree. The home is private, and gave us a perfect holiday on the island. Yuki (along with her dog Gypsy) is a phenomenal host, and made everything easy.

The place felt incredibly private. Loved all the sliding doors and windows. We could hear the surf from Sunset Beach and the many birds that live on the property. Host was very attentive and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Living space is large and has good air flow.

Beautiful home, but somewhat inconvenient.

We were "upgraded" to this home when the owner decided to paint the property we had originally booked. The photos on the site looked great so we were happy for the upgrade. But once we got there we learned it wasn't so convenient for us. The property we originally booked is almost oceanfront and right on the bike path. I was excited about this because we could bike along the north shore to wherever we needed to go. This property we were placed in is .25 miles from the beach, which doesn't sound like much, but it's all uphill from the beach, so it's less accessible by foot or bike, especially for a child tired from swimming for hours. And one of the bikes provided was broken. The listing photo of the bikes must be quite outdated. So it was driving for us. But the car we rented was a tin can Fiat, which got stuck on the very steep and broken driveway from the road to the cottage. So we always parked on the road, which made for a steep tiring trek to and from the car. Again not advised for a tired child. If you do rent this cottage I would recommend renting a sturdy vehicle, possible 4wd. Once we were ensconced in the house it was very relaxing with lots of breeze and pretty plantings and a big lawn. Sleep was a little challenged by the many neighbor dogs barking and car bass booming. All this being said about the property, the owner was kind and helpful.

North Shores Oahu mit Familie

Wir waren mit zwei Kindern (7Jahre, 14 Jahre) eine Woche in dem Haus von Yuki, nachdem wir eine Woche auf Maui waren. Wir können die Unterkunft von Yuki sehr empfehlen: - Lage: Die Lage ist perfekt. Man ist ganz Nahe an wunderschönen Stränden. Zum Sunset Beach kann man zu Fuß gehen. Auch gibt es viele wunderschöne weitere Strände, die mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen sind. Das tolle ist aber auch, dass man in einer knappen Stunde in Honolulu ist, wenn man mal mehr Großstadt-Feeling haben möchte. Auch haben wir uns Pearl Harbor angeschaut - ein Muss! Zudem gibt es in der Nähe tolle Foodtrucks… - Unterkunft: Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Man ist auf dem Grundstück von Yuki, aber das Grundstück ist riesig und man wohnt wie auf einem eigenen Grundstück. Zudem ist Yuki eine tolle Gastgeberin, immer zur Stelle, wenn man einen guten Tipp braucht! Und die Zufahrt ist einfach zu befahren (wir hatten einen Ford Mustang). - Fazit: Tolle Lage, tolle Unterkunft, tolle Gastgeberin!

Amazing relaxing time in the country

I spent a lot of time on the North Shore growing up and every time I come back, it’s back to that HI happiness. The house is perfectly located and it’s an easy walk to Sunset Beach. House is well appointed and spacious for our group of 4. Owner Yuki was very communicative and obliging. We enjoyed our stay very much. Extra bonus: there is a neighbor horse and as a longtime horse owner, horses make me happy too :)

The location of the property is excellent. We had no problems with getting in. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals. There is a washer and dryer available in the house. The beds were so comfortable!

Nice quiet location near cool spots

Family of four stayed for a week in May. The house is about a 5 minute walk to Sunset Beach, which is really nice and not as crowded as most of the beaches on the island (at least in May). Waimea Bay and Falls are 10 minutes away by car. Haleiwa is about 15-20 mins away. Great food close by, as well as a large grocery store. The house is pretty secluded and surrounded by trees. Kids loved playing in the yard. Our host was very quick to respond to questions. House was well equipped for our family's needs. We had a great time and hope to come back soon.
