A little piece of heaven...

Water front house in Half Moon Bay. The house was completely rebuild and decorated by a famous San Francisco architect. A few walking blocks to great restaurants, winery and distillery. World famous hikes are steps away. This is the closest house to Mavericks world famous surf beach. 6 people maximum.
2 SUP’s available.
Outside hot tub, shower, indoor and outdoor wood burning fire-pits as well as an outdoor gas fire pit are other amenities. We don't have Tv and wash machine and dryer.
Parking for one cars including a Tesla charger.

The space
Serene and magical. Yet, there is noise from a distant foghorn, seals, birds and waves. IF YOU ARE VERY SENSITIVE TO NOISE IT MAY NOT BE PERFECT FOR YOU.
There are 2 Paddle boards available by request. You can hear the seals, birds, waves and a distant foghorn.

Good place except some details
When we arrived, the gardener's car blocked the entrance; he emphasized that we were 10 min early. I had to contact the manager to get him out. About an hour after we checked in, some random guy walked all over the patio and became passive-aggressive when I mentioned it was a private area. I had to contact the manager again; it turned out it was the gardener's son; she took care of it. The sinks in bathrooms are awful; it's impossible to wash your hands without scratching the skin (or your hands should be tiny). The downstairs sink was leaking; we had to apply the towels and change them throughout the stay. There are ants in the house, especially around the windows. The non-perishable food I left on the kitchen table was covered in ants in the morning. Parking mentions space for four cars - not true, the whole gate gets blocked by random people, and my husband couldn't park there the next day.

Very happy
Lovely and very well equipped property right on the edge of the water. We were 4 adults and were comfortably accommodated in the spacious property enjoying high end appliances and good quality linen, towels etc. All of our needs had been anticipated and catered for. The views are lovely and cafes are walking distance. You will need a car to visit the wider area but with private and secure parking at the property this is not a problem. Would certainly recommend.

So Much Potential
The location is simply amazing. We were beyond excited to have 4 days at this property. The morning we were supposed to arrive we received a text from the owner with check in info. We replied asking if we got there slightly before the 3pm check in if that would be permissible. Her one line, curt response was "3pm is check in". Upon arrival we were overwhelmed with the lack of cleanliness. Our children ages 8, 5 and 2 immediately took notice. Counters filthy, bedding appeared to have feces on it, light switches soiled, ants crawling all over. One of the pendents hanging above the kitchen island was nearly falling down and there was additional exposed electrical wiring in the children's bedroom. The property is listed as having a washing machine and dryer, when we sent the owner a text asking about the location again the reply was very argumentative and flat rude. They denied having stated the property had those so we had to send screenshots and pictures of their own marketing material to remind them. Some other notes that would be important to travelers are this property does not have televisions, iron, ironing board, sufficient quantity of flatware or plates, many plates are chipped, could only locate 2 glass wine glasses, one of which had a large chip in it. This property could truly be a magical place. With a touch of hospitality, cleaning and addition of basic amenities that even a 2 star hotel would have.

Excellent on many levels!
My wife and I have visited HMB many times over the years with our young children...fast forward 20+ years, we recently took the opportunity to all meet at this great property for a few days. Needless to say, a great time had by all...what's not to love about: Spectacular sunrises/sunsets, glasses of wine by the outdoor firepit or hot-tub, paddle-boarding within a few steps walking distance, high-end/cozy accommodations...the list goes on! Thank you again Mirela, you were a wonderful host and we cant wait to visit again!
