Hotel cancelled 90 minutes before we were due to check-in, so we never actually went to the hotel. It looks really good from the pictures & Robert from the reception was really nice during our email correspondence. I hope to visit some time in the future.

Hotel is going through a refurbishment, lift not working. Even so, my room was pretty poor - floor falling apart, no towels/toilet paper. No much sound proofing. TV not working. Breakfast was good

Classic style grand hotel in a great condition. Dormero is renovating the rooms with respect for the heritage. I lived it. Friendly staff too. If anything, I would change the company outfit of the staff. Great for most other Dormero locations, but misplaced for the grand hotel vibe of this particular hotel. I guess not having them wear the red braces would be a good start.

Good value for price. Trying to fix issues as smooth as possibe after water break-in with all that implications tending to give a worse rating. But staff is nice and helpful, good breakfast service, mind to go at round times

The reception desk is not open until 1pm which meant with an earlier arrival we were not able to leave our bags before check in. However we found the hotel location to both the old town and the main station ideal. There is a large aquarium with tropical fish in the dining room, an unusual but interesting feature.

Seemed really grand on entering but on closer inspection was quite tired. Original room was lovely however on noticing the balcony door didn't lock and had several ways to access it I requested a different room. The man on Reception was Ok about me wanting a different room but seemed nonchalant about the none locking door. As a single female traveller I found it odd that having an unlocked bedroom door was OK?? Overall an OK stay, big room but tired and some maintenance and cleaning issues. Was a convenient location for the local parkrun and a nice town.

Room was comfortable & clean but in dire need of an update. Cooling fan did not work, in fact heated the room. Flooring chipped & in need of repair. Shower screen broken so water leaked everywhere; bath plug did not work. Lampshade broken. Lights from the car park shone right into the room. No staff available from 10pm until 1pm so could not properly address anything. Free drinks in the room were much welcomed.

Room cleaning service was a no-show. (nor was there a please do not disturb/ make up room) sign there for use on the door. Whereas the room was okay clean, the trip to the room, w/o elevator, was a long trek along always dirty, worn pathways. It's difficult to conceive of how or why a hotel would leave its extensive carpeting un-vacuumed. As noted, we dealt with two quite nice staff, one of whom was also competent. Other staff, including the Manager, were incredibly rude, curt, and dismissive. All this is totally contradictory to "business-friendly" but equally contradictory to "tourist friendly."

Das Hotel wird gerade von links auf rechts gedreht und im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes von oben bis unten renoviert. Dies war auch sehr deutlich sichtbar und machte den bekannten Komfort, den ich vor zwei Jahren kennengelernt habe, leider wenig attraktiv. Für eine einzelne Übernachtung war es hingegen ok. Ich konnte ein vollständig genibbeltes Zimmer nutzen. Der Weg geht jedenfalls in die richtige Richtung. Frühstück habe ich nicht genutzt.
