The former commercial unit has direct street access and has been converted and renovated into a 3-room apartment. Located in the basement, it offers approx. 55 m² of space for up to 7 people.

Leider in Unterkunftnähe keinerlei Parkplätze vorhanden! Nächsten Parkhaus 600m entfernt. Bei Eintreffen in der Wohnung lag noch der Müll der Vorgänger herum und die Wohnung war noch nicht gereinigt. Erst nach Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter wurde jemand geschickt, der dann alles in 45 min in unserer Anwesenheit geputzt hat. Geschirrspüler durften wir dann trotzdem noch selbst ausräumen. Wohnung im allgemeinen Stand 70er Jahre, vieles einfach alt, kaputt oder total billig. Keine Schränke für Kleidung. Nachtspeicheröfen eine Katastrophe! Hier wird nur Geld gemacht, der Standart eine Katastrophe
Diese Ferienwohnung ist mit kleineren Abstrichen grundsätzlich empfehlenswert.
Die Lage ist sehr gut: man ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten an einer großen Bushaltestelle und in gut 10 Minuten an der U-Bahn-Haltestelle Hoheluftbrücke. Im Umkreis von 15 Gehminuten findet man locker 20 Restaurants und Bars.
Laut Inserat gibt es 3 Schlafzimmer mit 6 Betten und Platz für 12 Personen. Zumindest als wir vor Ort waren, waren es allerdings nur 5 Betten mit Platz für maximal 8 Personen (zwei Einzel- und drei Doppelbetten). Für uns als 4-köpfige Familie war das immer noch mehr als ausreichend, aber wenn man mit mehr als 8 Personen anreist, sollte man am besten vorher nachfragen; möglicherweise werden dann mehr bzw. größere Betten bereitgestellt.
Die Wohnung ist im Erdgeschoss. Wenn man durch den Eingang geht, steht man direkt im Wohn-/Esszimmer drin, das einen großen Tisch und ein SEHR großes Sofa enthält, auf dem man gemütlich fernsehen kann.
Die Küche enthält eigentlich alles, was man so braucht, insbesondere eine Spülmaschine und eine sehr gute Kaffeemaschine.
Die Heizungs- und Sanitäranlagen sind nicht gerade auf dem neuesten Stand:
- Das Bad ist recht klein und beim Duschen schwankt die Wassertemperatur oft zwischen kalt und brühheiß.
- Die Heizung läuft über strombetriebene Nachtspeicheranlagen; wenn die sich einmal aufgeheizt haben, wird das jeweilige Zimmer schnell auch dann viel zu warm, wenn man den Temperaturregler auf 0 stellt. Als wir ankamen, war es in allen Zimmern 23-25 Grad warm... Wir haben dann erst mal die Sicherungen für die Nachtspeicher ausgeschaltet; erst nach 2 Tagen waren die Räume auf knapp 20 Grad "abgekühlt".
Das Haus scheint als Ganzes ziemlich hellhörig zu sein; wir wurden am 2. Tag von einem Nachbarn aus dem 1. Stock angesprochen, dass wir die Türen doch bitte leiser schließen sollten. Umgekehrt haben wir von den Nachbarn allerdings praktisch nichts gehört; bei geschlossenen Fenstern hat man auch von draußen so gut wie nichts mitbekommen.
Eine Sache, die dringend behoben werden sollte: wir haben in der gesamten Wohnung nur einen einzigen Rauchmelder gesehen (im Wohnzimmer). Trotz frühzeitigen Hinweises wurden bis zu unserer Abreise keine weiteren Rauchmelder eingebaut.
Von den genannten Punkten abgesehen ist die Wohnung aber auf jeden Fall ein gutes "Basislager" für die Erkundung Hamburgs.
