Gorgeous, comfortable holiday house

A great place to relax and unwind for either a short or long stay. Is within an easy five minute walk to all local community clubs (golf club, boat club and combined sports club), general store, cafe and fish and chip shop. Local museum is open daily.
The harbour provides a great place to swim with good fishing for the kids at the wharf or if it's 'real fishing' you prefer, the charter boats leave from the local wharf too.
Renowned Te Puia Hot Springs are within 5 mins drive and are certainly worth a visit..
Absolutely NO DOGS allowed on the premises

A great set up and close to town/beach. Only downfall was not fully fenced for our toddler. Looking forward to staying again. Thank you Patsy for a great experience!

Kawhia Fishing

A lovely Bach which suited our needs. Internet access would have been helpful as we spent a lot of our holiday indoors due to inclement weather. A pity we couldn't get out fishing due to the atrocious weather. Looking forward to our next holiday staying here.

Kawhia House

To be honest, compared to the other 3 places we stayed on our 2 week holiday on the north island of NZ, I found it was over priced by 30-50% for the property condition, amenities, and location. (location would be good, if you like fishing) The host was very nice and helpful, but the house for the money needs updating, or renting price needs to be reduced

Lovely Stay

Thank you, Patsy, for another great stay. Your home is in such a beautiful spot, and we really enjoyed it. It was a bit of a shame that some parts of the oven didn’t work since we were baking a lot over the weekend. But we still had a good time and really appreciated being able to check out later. I’d happily recommend your place to other families.

Been to Kawhia a few times and stayed at the camp grounds. With parents wanting to join I wanted to find somewhere close and homey! Excellent central location, all the ammenities and relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for escaping the busy city life.

The feel of this home was lovely like the home was welcoming our whanau back to Kawhia, this home has enough room to house a large family and has a section for all the toys, very clean too.Patsy the host was also welcoming providing local knowledge and sharing experiences she had with our whanau, thank you very much Patsy for the chats and the warm welcome back home

What a lovely home. We really enjoyed our stay and Patsy the owner made us feel very welcome. Bit of a drive to get to Kawhia but community and beach are lovely.

Cosy and Close

Our third time to visit, hopefully WIFI will be added to the property. The neighbours dog was bold, making its way throught the back door to pull out the garbage. He wasn't deterred when shooed away, the owner heard me and took control of the dog

Easter Getaway

Had an amazing stay at this property. Everything you need and walking distance to town and harbor. Patsy is an excellent host. Very friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was very easy. Will definitely be back again.
