We spent 3 nights and attended a family wedding at Landsdown Resort about 15 minutes away. I’m so glad we stayed at Laurel Hill. It was so peaceful and had everything we needed.

Wonderful weekend at Laurel Hill. The five Grandkids loved running around the property and watching the cows through the fence.

Exactly what we needed to celebrate the holidays with our family. Plenty of room to spread out and relax inside or on the beautiful patio by the fire pit. The ladies had a chance to visit a local winery. Overall the property had the 3 C’s. Clean, comfortable and close to shops. All of our needs were tended to proactively.

Upon arrival to the property, we were immediately intrigued and impressed by this historical home and felt as if we had been transported to another time. You can tell the owners have put immense effort to make this house as inviting as possible while preserving all the original character. The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances and everything we could possibly need, and the beds were comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Wonderful location close to attractions but very much secluded feel on beautiful farmland. The house was owrfecr fir our family and had everything we needed. Host was kind enough to provide firewood and nade us feel right at home. We woukd definitely stay here again when in the area and would love to come back in the fall. Beds were very comfortable as well. Our kids enjoyed the animals. Overall 5/5 in every category

We visited the farm during Easter with our extended family, 6 adults and 3 kids. We loved our stay and want to come back! The house is great. We loved the history of it. It is fully stocked and the sleeping arrangements were perfect for us. The setting is beautiful and we all enjoyed the animals. The delicious farm fresh eggs were a great addition. The hosts were great and very attentive when needed. We visited a number of great wineries and breweries in the area. Some favorites were Walsh Family Winery, Bluemont Station Brewery and Winery, and Hillsborough Vineyards and Brewery. We also took a nature walk from the mill in Waterford to the dam. It was an easy walk with a rewarding view of the dam at the end. We had a great stay at the house and can’t wait to plan our next trip!

We had such a lovely time at our weekend at the house. The property is a treasure and it was just what my friends from the city needed, to spend some time in nature with animals (wild and farm!) all around. The property is so quiet and it's set back from the road so you can really forget about other people entirely.
The house was spotless and so comfortable, really far more space than we needed for a group of 5, but we loved the historical rooms. The kitchen was well equipped - such a pleasure at a rental house! - and everything fit our needs perfectly. The weather was really hot the weekend we were there (thank goodness for the house's excellent AC!) but we enjoyed a little time in the hot tub anyway. We would definitely return another time!

This property is fantastic. It is a charming farmhouse on a working farm. Everything described in the listing is correct and the hosts couldn't have been better. They checked on us and ensured everything ran smoothly.

This is a place we will keep coming back to for years to come. Greg and especially the local crew are fantastic. Everything is always just perfect. I always appreciate the little odds and ends they have on site, like coffee 😀. Thanks again. Great time!

We enjoyed our stay for a girls birthday weekend. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and entertaining. The property owners check on us and helped us build a fire and made extra sure we were warm on a very cold weekend. They went out of their way to provide a wonderful experience.. The beds were very comfortable. Great weekend place /location for a large group.

Ambiance, historic character, and functionality flow throughout this home’s well-appointed rooms. Anything one could reasonably expect to need is on hand and easy to find - from dry kindling/cut firewood, to a well curated assortment of kitchen/laundry supplies, to indoor plumbing (complete with hot water!), to fresh eggs in the full sized sparkling clean fridge from the owners’ very entertaining, generous, and adorable chickens. Turning into the long driveway, this property immediately beckons. Every view of this beautiful pastoral setting, whether walking along the driveway or looking out from the beautiful colonial windows and large paned sun porch, appeals - so very lovely! This property’s fine qualities provided exactly the perfect place to quickly recover from jet lag and long car rides and then feel ready to venture out to get to experience some of Leesburg’s and Purcellville’s wonderful offerings. Most appreciated were Senor Ramon’s Tacos and Hogg’s BBQ, the W&OD trail (with and without bikes), vineyard hopping, a top notch Cimiez Manor wedding, big breakfast served from the well-equipped kitchen’s island across from the big kitchen table with a few wedding guests dropping by for a bite before finally departing on Sunday, and finally re-entering the (fall season’s) atmosphere at the Haunted Halloween attraction in Purcellville. Sitting around the fire pit Thursday night reconnecting with family on the back patio after dark inspired lots of laughter by way of well-intentioned story telling, if not a little ribbing, by siblings and parents before attending to a couple of last minute wedding preparations Friday morning : )

My daughter got married just a little over a mile away. I feel so incredibly lucky to have stumbled on Laurel Hill Farm. It at once, welcomed us into it’s peaceful beauty. The caretaker was incredible, leaving us fresh eggs from the chickens that are on the property, giving us the history of this 1762 farm house and encouraging us to look around. We all did. Wow!
It was fun to see and hear the cattle. They must have thought us craze as we mooed back at them and talked to the rooster. One morning my 2 granddaughters were delighted to see 7 deer, 2 of them babies walk up the field along side the house.
What a special place this is!

Our family, which includes young children, had the best time staying at this farmhouse for a week vacation. The property was so nice and so peaceful. The kids loved seeing the chickens and cows everyday and we all really enjoyed the hiking/running trail loop that outlines the property. The house itself is very cool. Excellent kitchen, beautifully renovated bathrooms, and perfect central air conditioning...the charm of an old house with all the modern upgrades to make it comfortable. The beds were very nice, sheets, towels, etc. all provided and perfect. Nearly brand new Weber grill and picnic tables on a beautiful back patio made a perfect home base for all our dinners. Finally, we cannot say enough about the owners. Great friendly, family who responded immediately and were ready to help with anything we needed, including delivery of nice, dry firewood for the fire pit. We cannot thank them enough for the fantastic week and we hope to return someday. None of us, especially the kids, were ready to leave.

We were visiting the area for a wedding and had guests aged 15 to 86. The property manager was very timely with my several questions about the property. It’s an unbelievably beautiful setting on a working farm, historical home with newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen. We found the historic aspects delightful, furniture and bedding clean, with pressed sheets!, and comfortable-the most important part to a stay. Was conducive to a solid night’s rest! The owners were generous with their time answering questions about the beautiful property. Look forward to returning! Thanks for the memories!

We had a wonderful weekend with our family in VA. The farmhouse in Virginia was beautiful…inside and out! A beautifully restored historical home on a farm complete with cows in the meadow. Our grandsons enjoyed walking to see the animals and swinging on the tree swing! The hosts were very easy to communicate with and answered any questions that we had. We would definitely recommend this gorgeous home!

Spent 3 nights at there over New Years Weekend. It was a great place very comfortable and all of the amenities were perfect. You can tell they took the time to make sure your stay went smoothly. I especially liked the little sticky notes all around to explain little odds and ends around the house. Greg the property manager was on point. He answered every question easily and promptly. The house was also set up with some small grocery items to get us started (eggs, milk, OJ, Cereal). That was a great touch and really helped us out. We'll be back!
