"I had a great stay with Galen. The property was clean and quiet and Galen was a fantastic host, congenial and always available. This property is fantastic for kayakers, fishermen and nature lovers. Bear Island is a 30-45" paddle from the dock, and the fishing and the birding opportunities are literally right outside the door. I would not hesitate to revisit."

"Absolutely loved this property!! We enjoyed the pool and grilling out. Shops downtown were all in walking distance. Kids loved seeing the ducks and shopping at the near by shops. House was equipped with everything we needed and a basket full of goodies upon our arrival. I give this property a 10/10!"

"This is a gem of a house! It is in the PERFECT location. You have so many restaurants and shops walking distance. We loved walking down to the water each night and looking out into the water. Breezy and relaxing. There was also a concert in town one of the nights we were there and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch and listening. The house is cozy and so much space. We had 4 adults and 3 kids staying and had plenty of room. Beautiful home!"

"We traveled with our daughter and our Golden Retriever. This house is perfect for families! It is stocked with literally everything—even beach towels and chairs! Plus, the location is fantastic. It’s quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk away you could grab fresh bagels for breakfast, get ice cream, or enjoy live music at a waterfront bar in the evening. Emerald Isle is dog-friendly, so our Golden got to enjoy the beach too, and the outdoor hot-water shower made it easy to rinse off the salt water after we got back. We highly recommend this beautiful house!"

"Great little weekend getaway! Finding reasonably priced places at the beach to stay is nearly impossible, especially if you need a pet-friendly place, so we were excited to find this place. It's super close to Emerald Isle, but we really fell in love with the ability to walk to downtown Swansboro in about 5 minutes! There are plenty of stores and restaurants to eat nearby. The staff at Swansboro Paddle next door were incredibly polite and welcoming. What an awesome deal to be able to rent 2 kayaks for free! We also used the pontoon boat taxi to Shark Tooth Island. I was just so pleased with the small-town feel of the people here, which is rare in today's electronic world of self-absorbed people. Marc's place was very clean, even for my picky standards. There were planty of towels available. Even though we were in a storefront, I felt like we had enough privacy with the blackout curtains. Some downsides to this place, just for people's honest assessment for if this is the right place for you... It is true that the parking can be difficult, which is common period in downtown Swansboro. The lot is very small and often fills up with people visiting the public Bicentennial Park there. It was a little noisy at times due to some people who had too much to drink that night, being as that it's next to a bar/restaurant, but that could happen anywhere to be fair. And I will say that there's nowhere to hardly hang wet swimsuits, which was annoying. And only 1 sink."

"This is a perfect spot for a getaway. Right in downtown Swansboro. A short walk to food and drink and water. Bring your boat and keep it on the dock out back. Great boat adventures are plentiful. We loved this huge house."
