“Helani” – Unit 103 – is a 1-bedroom/1-bath condo conveniently located in Hana Kai’s Mauka (upper) building. There is a king-size bed in the bedroom and a comfy queen-size hide-a-bed in the living room, tiled tub/shower combination, and tropical decor. This unit has a pass-thru window from the kitchen to the spacious covered lanai with glass table and chairs to sit, relax and enjoy the incredible view of Hana Bay! There is a second covered lanai off the bedroom.

Great Road to Hana stay over

Spent two nights after driving from West Maui. Gave us time to really relax & enjoy the slower pace and quiet side of the island. Learned great stories from people who choose to llive there & love the history. Great beaches to explore.

Great stay in Hana

This is a great property right on a black sand beach. The staff at Hana Kai are very helpful and friendly, and made our stay great. The condo we stayed in had a great view of the beach, was comfortable and is located in a great spot to get around easily.

Nice spot for an overnighter

The view from the Lanai is pretty and the pass through from the kitchen to the lanai is a nice feature. The bed is comfortable and the check-in process was easy. It was a little pricey for the quality but it is high season and we booked a little late..All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Nice stay

We spent two nights here after driving down the road to Hana. The unit was fairly spacious with a nice view of the ocean and sunrise. We didn’t do a lot of cooking but the kitchen was well supplied. There was quite a breeze from the tradewinds so didn’t need any a/c. it seemed a little pricey but there are not alot of options in Hana.

Perfect Hana Getaway

We really enjoyed staying in this unit and wish we had booked 2 nights to have more time in this beautiful area. The balcony had a great view and we slept so peacefully listening to the waves. We'll be back.

First time in Hana

This is a well equipped and located little apartment. I thought the lack of AC might have been an issue but this unit was very well thought out with louvers on all windows, even between rooms inside the unit, allowing for a constant cool breeze. The black sand beach on which this property is situated is stunning with probably some of the most stunning sunrises I have ever seen.

Charming and Laid-back

Our family enjoyed a mellow night at the Hana Kai Maui, with beautiful views, a full kitchen (we made dinner), soft breezes and good rests for everyone. Our teenagers were on the sofa bed and said it was super comfortable.

Nice stay in well maintained older condo

View was fantastic. Location is near everything in the village. This unit is on ground level, which was important to me due to knee issues. Many other units in the complex require many stairs. Staff was friendly and responsive. Very clean unit.

Nice condo right on the beach

Wanted to stay a couple nights in Hāna so we wouldn’t be rushed. Nice 1 bedroom condo with a great view of the water and adjacent black and beach. Very clean. Free on-site parking. Only drawback was noisy people upstairs stomping around overhead and dragging furniture and rolling suitcases around. Fortunately people were remarkably quiet after 8 PM. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Experience

We chose this property because it allowed a one-night stay in Hana. But this property was so nice that we would have gladly stayed another night or two. The unit has a great ocean view from the lanai and living room. There is a nice lawn area on the property that was ideal for reading outside. The unit is small but plenty big enough for a couple. The king bed was comfortable. On occasion we heard some noise upstairs or in the next lanai, but this was insignificant and we would definitely stay here again (for more nights!). The checkin process was easy and the management was friendly and accommodating. The location is good (Hana is small), about a 12-15 minute walk to the food trucks and Hasagawa's general store.

We loved our stay here! We just stayed one night on a two day Road to Hana adventure and we wish we stayed longer! It had everything we needed and we loved watching the sunrise on the beach!! We would definately be back.
