This is a nice, historic farmhouse on a stream right outside of Hancock, NY. Centrally located for drift boat trips on the West Branch and Mainstem. Although it is on a two lane road, the backyard is very private and the large windows give a great view of the stream.
As advertised, very convenient to recreation on upper Delaware. Good remodel, some quirkiness that you get with old farmhouse - low ceilings! Host very responsive, we enjoyed our stay.
The house was a good space for our 2 adults and 3 kids trip. We liked the house a lot and the fire pit area outside and the creek. The only disappointing thing was it did not seem very clean, lots of spider webs, some stains on the sheets that came out when we washed then upon our arrival and the grill was very gross we didn't even bother with it. The house does also sit next to a street that has a lot of work trucks during the day which are a bit loud, but seemed to be less busy by the evening. Overall we enjoyed our stay and liked the house!
We were in the area for a wedding and it was a very nice place to stay. Host was great with communication and access was easy. The house was clean except for the towels. The towels were wet and musty and there were not any extras. Host was very responsive though.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
Great house. Just needs a deep cleaning. We pay for a cleaning fee in the cost but the did not look like had been cleaned upon arrival. That is my only complaint
Other than that the house was in a great location for the purpose of our trip and a great value compared to other available properties
Our family had a lovely time on this charming home. From someone who grew up in the Catskills, this was a wonderful getaway from the usual hustle & bustle life.
The house was on a beautiful location, easy to access, with plenty of space for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 small children). Unfortunately the house was not well cleaned so we were not too comfortable during our short stay.
My husband and I had a lovely time unwinding at this beautiful home. The views of the stream from the windows were breathtaking and the house was perfectly cozy.
It was a nice experience the house had everything you needed at home and Kid love Water and backyard It was nice getting away 4 couple of days from New York City
The property was smaller than I expected but it was just right. We had a great time making s’mores and playing board games. Host responded quickly to questions. We had a great stay. Thank you for having us!
Wasn’t at the home very much, but enjoyed the house when we were there. The only feedback I have is that there was a request to keep your shoes off in the house which was fine, but the front porch had a lot of debris on it that we would drag in. I looked for a broom to sweep it off, but could not find one.
If a broom was available to clean the floors and stairs it would’ve been helpful. Also the floors were very dirty and needed to be mopped.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Very well appointed. Bad location.
We are in our 70s. Enjoyed being together. No closets or drawer space except in one bedroom. Sparse window coverings Lots of bugs & dirty. Road noise. All in all we had a good time
A charming and comfortable house for a ski weekend
We went skiing in Elk mountain for the weekend and stayed for two nights. It is about 40 min drive from Elk. The charm of the house and the surrounding farmland easily made up for the distance. We were 6 and felt very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and we were pleasantly surprised to find basic cooking ingredients such as salt, oil, vinegar, in addition to breakfast basics such as tea, coffee, hot cocoa, sugar. It is a good idea to bring thick socks or slippers as shoes are not allowed inside the house. It would have been nice to have more dish towels and a few more hand towels for the bathrooms, but those are small details.
My kids said that they enjoyed this property more than the beach, which is a huge compliment!
The home is so cozy and functional while keeping the charm of a 120 yr old farmhouse. The labor of the owners is obvious in their attention to detail, we had everything we could have needed in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. The living room space was cozy and there were plenty of blankets for snuggling in and watching a movie on the smart tv.
The best part for my family was the yard- the access to the creek was easy for my kids and we actually brought our camping chairs and sat in the creek enjoying the view and watching our kids playing. Just perfect! The fire pit was also great to enjoy in the evenings.
The owner was very responsive and thorough, and their over the top kindness in welcoming my family to their home was such a surprise! We loved our time in this property!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The house was clean and welcoming! Comfortable beds and a beautiful location right near a brook. The kids loved throwing stones into the water! We highly recommend this home! Thank you for a great stay!!!
