"The staff was helpful and friendly, the view is spectacular. The area is quiet, the breakfast was good and the hotel is a perfect stop between Torrey and Moab. Highly recommended."
"The cabin is very clean and comfy. The air conditioning worked well and the beds were comfortable and cozy. There is a free laundromat on site and is an easy drive to Goblin Valley State Park."
"What I thought was going to be the highlight of my trip to Capitol Reef ended up being one of the worst travel experiences I've ever had.
I decided to splurge on this place for my one night there and had very high expectations. I drove several hours to get there, and arrived in the evening just before it got dark. When I got to the property, there was nobody around, no obvious way to check in, and no instructions anywhere. I was a bit confused on what to do and coincidentally ran into a couple from Germany who were just as confused as I was. Apparently guests are supposed to receive check-in instructions beforehand, but I never received anything of the sort.
To make matters worse, there was basically no cell reception and no Wi-Fi. I couldn't call, message, or look anything up. I ended up having to drive 30min back down the highway just to get enough signal to call and use the internet.
I called the property multiple times and sent messages through Expedia. Nothing. No answer. No callback. No response.
I then contacted Expedia, and even they couldn't get ahold of the property. After spending a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure out what to do, I gave up and booked Capitol Reef Resort.
Here's the really crazy part: a few days later Expedia told me they still had not been able to reach the property, and because of that I was told I couldn't get a refund. What a nightmare of an experience. Avoid this place at all costs if you don't want to risk ruining your trip."
"The property was perfect! It was far enough away from the towns that at night we could see so many stars! The dome was so much fun to stay in! If we find ourselves in this area again we will be staying there again!"
